It´s normal. I loved having roomates in college, but after a couple of years I wanted my own place. Doesn´t mean you stop hanging out, but you have full control of when to hang out.
living alone in your late 20s and early 30s is something i think everyone should do. it really helps you become more independent. not just financially but mentally, and emotionally. you really start to value your alone time and realize which people you want to allow around you and in your space. imo too many people have never lived alone and it causes an unhealthy dependence on others. we all know a couple that is only together for financial reasons. we all know a toxic group of friends who secretly hate each other but still hangout because it’s what’s become comfortable.
6-7 years ago my rent for my apartment [2 bed 1 bath] was about $1500 and now it’s $2000. (I live near Compton) My landlord doesn’t even maintain our apartment complex and complains about how we “live like pigs”.
The way her lifestyle is, Valkyrae benefits more living alone or with at least 1 person. “Streamer houses”, literally have the same issues every-time.. Internet connection sucks, things break, too many people streaming at the same time, so on and so forth..
There comes a time in life when you want privacy. I fully understand their decision. I would have done it much sooner, to be honest. They are all in their 30s now, so now is the time to do it.
I mean.... as much as people want to say "OMGGG I cant believe she is moving out".......... what the people actually expect man....... people grow up, THEY ARE ADULTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!........ living with 5 people is what you do when you are in college and are not adults..... SHE OBVIOUSLY WILL lol..... its not like she is moving out because she hates the people she lives with........ she is moving out because she is GROWING UP and BEING AN ADULT. it is just that simple.
I guess on one hand they are all so wealthy that paying rent doesn't really make a dent on their income, but on the other hand unless she doesn't foresee living in LA for the long term, it really doesn't make any sense to not buy at least a condo or townhouse. That way, there won't be any landlord issues, it's a stable investment, and she is able to stop paying rent on a podcast studio and consolidate everything into a permanent home. Internet issues can be fixed permanently, and she can invite friends to live with her without any of the problems.
I doubt that the rent doesn't make a dent in their income bc they literally took SO many Dove sponsors to specifically pay for their house rent according to Rae and once that well dried up, the news of them moving started popping up as early as last year. The only multi millionaires in that house is probably Fuslie&Valk and the others are not even comparable with their income. Tina and Miyoung sporadically stream and take long breaks, while Foolish/Ellum are perma visitors who probably don't even pay their full rent.

I do not understand how these extremely wealthy people are not buying their homes. renting is literally just throwing your money down the toilet. you get nothing on return of investment. Yes you have to pay money to own a home by maintaining it but you also get to sell that home at the end of it. when you move out of the apartment all that money spent is just wasted
