    I finished the audiobook for these stories a few days ago, really liked them a lot! I think my ratings of them are pretty identical to yours! I was curious what you thought about this since you're a King expert to me and glad you liked it! It's always a good sign when stories stand out and you can tell them apart.
    Ha also I was telling someone on Reddit about Rattlesnakes being a spoiler for Cujo and one random poster who never read the book, only saw Cujo the movie, started going off on me for saying Im spreading mistruths and then called me an idiot lol, glad we agree!

    Not quite get the idea of “Laurie”, to me it’s just a routine life with a sudden sad incident. Not as dark as “Willie the weirdo”, which has a creepy sudden ending.

      @BookishDrummer  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      lol he’s published novellas in the past that are definitely novel lengths lol apt Pupil could have been a novel, and his longest was The Langeloirs haha like a 9 hour audio on its own and over 200 pages. Literally novel length lol

    • @THINGSNetwork
      @THINGSNetwork 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@BookishDrummer actually Low Men In Yellow Coats was his longest that's considered a novella. But yeah, everything in Four Past Midnight could have been released as a novel but he just put them in a collection for whatever reason. Apt Pupil could have easily been a Bachman book. So could Secret Window Secret Garden. Both screamed in Bachman's voice. But so many of his "novellas" are actually novels that could have been released on their own and I believe would have have stood on their own merits. The way he did it though does work, especially if he wants to release as many stories as possible, the 4 story collections work for that purpose
