Rod should never break like that with two hands on the cork. Must of had a defect or some damage. Guide was super uptight and needs to loosen up. Shit happens.
@@MrKveite1 You ever catch a king salmon ? I have caught dozens over 40 pounds in British Columbia rivers . I dont mess around with a flimsy flyrod and fight them till they die.
@@oldpolak5203 nope but i have a 54 pound atlantic and fly rods comes in different classes. If you can catch marlin on the flyrod u DEFINATELY can catch ANY size king on a fly rood too without any problem what so ever...

The rod angle was about 110 and no rod in the world is meant to be over 90 degree angle. preferably not over 70 so yes it should and it did.

No it wasnt the rod's faulth but the angle the rod was held in....they use flyrods for halibut, marlin etc etc so you are off the mark on that one.
