My favorite performance was when she did a concert in Norfolk Virginia a couple years ago and my family got me tickets for me and my dad. It was amazing. And we got to meet her afterwards. We didn’t get home till after midnight. If they allowed pictures on here, I’d post it. And the best thing is that was an early birthday present for me cause my birthday is September 17th and she was in town a few nights on August 26th and I can’t remember the day she left but we went on the 26th in 2015
Such a powerhouse. The casting of Idina as Rachel Berry's mother on Glee was spot on, physically and vocally. At the beginning of #5 I thought it was Lea Michelle at first. 😂
When I was 15 my piano teacher gave me a burned copy of the Wicked Cast Album, and gave me the gift of following Idina Menzel career. She’s the Disney princess we deserve.
@@westerfrost3701 To be honest, I would be in more for a Disney Plus Frozen series. I skipped Frozen 2 after being spoiled of Anna’s coronation. And Into the Unknown didn’t motivate me enough
I just sang Let It Go for my workplace’s Christmas carols for the families and children attending (I work as a childcare educator). Listening to her sing made my heart soar and part of the reason I found the confidence to sing in public for the event.
I work with kids too, and a lot of the kids love Elsa. I am sure your kid's loved it when you sang let it go. I sing also. I sing to my kids all the time, especially the Disney songs. 👑👑💗💗
Idina takes the house wherever she goes. I think Idina, Adele and Celine Dion are the greatest singer of all times, and in this top 10 she reinforces more than ever that she was, is and will be the greatest 🥰
Idina is a treasure and a gift. Every time she sings It's A reflection of what anyone has gone through hope love praise despair she covers all the emotions from A to Z. She's always bringing a song that moves people there's so much ahead for her and what we've heard so far is just truly amazing as touch so many people from all ages that will be with us through the test of time and always. Voices like her that move people she will forever sing amazingly beautiful ballads. Thank you Idina for serving the world with your beautiful voice and message every time you open up to that mic you're sending your heart to everyone
I saw her perform on the 2023 Kennedy Center awards, and was blown away, and had to research to find out "Who was THAT!?!?!" I have no idea how this super-talented, super-gorgeous superstar escaped my notice up to this point. But no more: Thank you for curating and presenting this wonderful anthology of her work! PS. Seeing her with Streisand was like watching a torch being passed. It moved me to tears.
So many wonderful performances by this brilliant singer and interpreter. The emotion ldina Menzel puts into a song renders it unique. Defying Gravity, Some Other Me, l'm Not that Girl, The Wizard and I, At this Table, For Good, Bridge over Troubled Water 2017 🎉 Go girl. ❤
What I find hilarious is that we all literally will never ever forget the words “Adele Dazeem”. In a normal situation we would not easily remember that name but John Travolta made that stick in our brains. It’s there forever!
@@pepsiyummie1 it gets to the point that when you google Adele Dazeem, it shows Idina’s profile without any clarification. 😂 Like it officially became her name.
I can agree she did good with What I Did For Love! I remember watching the Kennedy Center Honors mainly for Morgan Freeman. It took me a while afterwards to sit down and watch Funny Girl. And I agree about Barefoot Defying Gravity
Love this video, idina is incredible. I’ve seen her live 8 times, and her always starting over performances are definitely some of my faves, her one from her radio city show is absolutely insane
This video is amazing, just like Idina Menzel herself! I'm so glad I'm a Mezzo-soprano also! ❄️ 💙 (Edit: If u're confused, Idina Menzel is a Mezzo-soprano voice.)
1. No day But Today at Barefoot at the Symphony is one of my favorite versions of that song. 2. I LOVE LOVE LOVE seeing someone acknowledge Chess. Chess in Concert is one of my fave albums of all time.
The honorable mention was specifically listed as the 2004 Tonys performance. I was fully expecting to see that on the list, but ultimately, I was not disappointed in what took #1.
I had to turn this off - there's an ever-so-faint second set of music in the background that I could not stand. either make it audible or get rid of it, imo!!
She has an amazing voice when she's recorded in advance with different takes. Seeing her live is really underwhelming honestly, especially when she's belting higher notes. There are much better live singers who are more consistent.
Her belts like from C#5/D5-F5 are mainly in chest and the voice shouldn't be singing that high in chest. But F#5/G5-C6 is mainly in her mixed voice and it sound so good. Her low register is her most undeveloped register. She can support up to like a F#3/G3/G#3.

Dyfing Gravity is my favorite
All but seeing her live was a dream come true.
I saw the original Broadway production of Wicked & my favorite songs are Defying Gravity & For Good.
Defy Gravity will always be her BEST song ever. Being able to watch it live when it went to Memphis in like 2003-4? God chills.

Indina Menzel is a fantastic singer and actress. Her song, Show Yourself, is still awesome to listen to.
Preach, Idina is an incredible singer, and her song in the Enchanted sequel was arguably the highlight.
Totally I agree with you, she is so talented
@@trinaq That’s my favorite song in Disenchanted

I saw her in Wicked and she’s great. I wish I could sing. Her voice is amazing.
Oh I’m playfully jealous. I been a fan since I heard her sing first on the cast album
This young lady has an amazing voice

Rent was one of the first musicals I saw as a teenager, and I became obsessed. I was so excited to see her tour in If/Then! She was so good.
i love her voice it's so raspy. i especially loved that she voiced elsa, giving the character a much more unique voice than other princess characters
There is gonna be a Frozen 3 if I’m not mistaken.
@@bighand1530 Disney hasn’t announced anything about a third Frozen film yet. Hopefully they will at some point.
I hope they make the third installment from Frozen, and make new music in it. I hope they make another one sooner or later.

As Idina Menzel's biggest fan, I would say welcome!
Idina’s vocals during Chess were top NOTCH!
It still blows my mind it was all live
she was phenomenal in Chess! ive watched it so many times for her alone!
So underrated, I hardly ever hear it mentioned 😕

Indina is a light soprano.

Know this is a vid about the incomparable Ms. Mendel, but seeing Tay Tay dressed as Olaf just ABSOLUTELY makes my day! 😂💕
She's not ashamed to admit she can no longer hit those highs on Let It Go. Love her!

I really wish I liked her voice. Seems like a pretty unpopular opinion, but ooof, it’s so screechy to me.
Her tone is too nasal for me. And her belts are too inconsistent for me. Her lower register is where she shines most.
