The Phosphorus strategy is an absolutelly legitimate strategy and it isn't sily or cheesy. It is a play to rush early and sacrifice your eco to do that. This one was really poorly executed though. It isn't supposed to be a castle drop and the castle needs to secure both wood and gold for it to work. Also, he was a bit stupid with his organ guns, they have to quickly deny your resources and focus your eco. He had them bashing a hole in the wall for ages without even knowing if that opeing was going to lead to anything good
100% agree, it is for sure a specialized super-fast castle. The only issue i have is when people like this copycat they don't use good game knowledge and just follow a build and that saturates the ladder, however a win is a win and to each there own. :)
That prevented castle drop decided the game, he needed to put his castle directly between wood and gold to protect his eco after hitting the castle age, very well played in your part
honestly I think that wasn't a huge issue (though it did delay him a lot, he should have those organs coming a lot earlier). The problem is that he also didn't make good use of the organs. He just had them bashing a hole in a place which didn't threaten any eco. He needed to circulate around the wall, hit the woodline and the stone, then breach a more vulnerable spot and then get in. He could have still won if he hadn't lost so much time.
I do think it's a legit way to play the game and not a silly strat :) you can check phosporu's channel where he explains the variations he developed to succeed in this one .
Does the suggested automatic farm placement function work on your computers? It doesn't on mine, but I can except that those players where it works have an advantage.
One final question: what is that mod that makes the "idle villager button" change colour to red instead? I want that too as the standard button change doesn't get noticed sometimes.
i agree, also helps out my colour blindness! It's the Anne_HK Better-Resource Panel (TheViper Version) mod! I enjoy using a lot of Anne_HK's mods, it's super resourceful!

that's not the phosporu, the castle should have been defensive that's the whole point of the strat
