@@octavianbujor2371 thx! Yyp are right its f1 invincible as an AA and vs projectiles/throws. Not until frame 3 against grounded strikes, those are the ones I addressed, those are meaties and tight block strings so you cant really use it as a wake up, high risk to do that.
This was super well done. I hate character guides that are 2 hours long and talk about each button one at a time and never mention a damn thing about strategy, play style, etc.

You also had a great tip about not using VT1 during an activation combo, and to save it for when it will be unscaled!

Haha vs1 against all jumps, no ruffians in neutral, ex zonk to get in and then press cmp, mp, zonk because ex zonk is plus om block, its your turn and people dont know in silver ;)

Its been changed yes. Hp, hp, goes into vs1 or run slide. C-hp, c-hp works into ex shoulder now . I picked him up again yesterday, might make a video on him again, hes fun and expressive
Old Zeku is pretty straight forward, a little bit like Akuma. You start the round with him and he is well rounded. He can zone a bit, has alright AA (use vskill 1 for that and learn to use a dp motion) and he is pretty good pressuring from close range. Young is harder to use because his anti air sus and his hit confirms are a little harder to use for a beginner where as old zeku can end his block strings with a koku and if it was on block, you’ll get away with it.

Yes good call. He has a hadoken (the long range kick) and a shoryuken yea, not a tatsumaki. He has a demon flip like Akuma, its quarter circle forward + punch.. he’ll do a flip. He can than go into a kick (hits in front), a punch (thats a cross up) and a grab (that hits standing opponents). So hes a bit like a discount Akuma in old form
Just esthetics and the uniqueness of a true stance change character. I think Zeku is the most original character in sfv. Compared to guilty gear strive (playing that now), sfv chars all fit a very “safe” game play design. Outside of Menat and Zeku (and rose and oro), they all kinda fit the same mold imo
Yea I understand, it takes base knowledge of the game to follow these guides. You could try Ceelows, he makes rookie to diamond guides with a lower entree level. The thing is: if i explain non character related basics (when to block, when to jump) these guides are going to be 3 hours. It takes weeks to make that. Im happy to talk about the basics of this game on Discord if you’d like, teach you what you need first.

@@iZonkGaming2021 yup. DiamondOcelot is my CFN I posted this comment while in a loosing streak, bit salty over here, hard to manage it sometimes. I never ranked over platinum league, stayed there a few weeks then got downgraded to ultra then super gold again. I think Diamond is too high for my current investment in the game. I don't know about it. And btw, this tutorial you posted is very useful and well made, thanks.
Oh its ok, every one gets down sometime after losing a lot. I’ll watch some games next week if you’d like. Alright? Old zeku is easier to win with at your level I think, thats just my experience. Play vs1, that gives you an easy anti air that also builds vbar and side switches 👌

Actually I play both, as I find the normals of Old zeku a little weak, despite his DP wich I mainly use as anti air, and the zoning ability.. and I got good pressure strings with young, but I never use his MK to anti air, I should train it, i also like his walking speed which is good for me to shimmy with, and for overall mobility. In a game I try to use both, sometimes I use them accordingly to the match up... But what I lack I think is a stable and solid gameplan, patience in defense, gimmick knowledge of some adversaries, and overall training of the basics.
Well i made the video to show the build of a basic game plan. I still believe that you should switch to young when you have frame advantage so that he gets to pressure. When the other guy has advantage and you are young, you are in trouble. Doing teki (any teki) into switch, into run stop is the key to winning with him imo. Im gonna make another zeku video soon with in game footage narrated as a follow up to this video👌 oh and btw; doing a dp to anti air in gold? Yoo you are way ahead of the rest, the average diamond ryu cant do that so thats a great skill to have

Ahh thank you I didn’t even think to check the crouched one. St.hp and cr.hp are so similar I just assumed they’d both cancel into the same stuff
Yup they are, thats why they changed it. The chp also crush counters so it has higher reward. However, st hp has more range and is safer on block.

As a Cody main what drew you to using Zeku? Are there similarities between the 2 chracters?
