Day 1(Sep 20th, 2022): I listened for 10 mins today. For some backstory I'm a homeschooled kid who rarely leaves the house. But before I became home schooled I was apart of that one crazy friend group that's at every school. We grew apart cause I moved over an hour away. I've become very nervous around new people, which is sad for me, because I used to be the one to go out of their way to talk to new people and make them feel welcome. I want that ability back as well as a friend group because that would give me a reason to leave the house. I've been homeschooled for 4 years going on 5. THIS IS INSANE. STORYTIMEEE! So basically I woke up this morning and I was like “I seriously need some new friends” and I have always tried friend subs but usually they don’t work for me. Update 1: I am not kidding bruh, today my friend group girls who make me feel left out came and spoke to me in the morning and stuff which is good and I do feel really comfortable around them and all but with others I felt really bad that I felt like not coming to college at all. I've been a loner my whole life struggling for years with a crippling social anxiety I feel I can't overcome, and that made it difficult for me to form meaningful friendships or deepen already existing connections. I always feel detached from friend groups/people and I usually feel like the leftover friend nobody wants, it really sucks. At time same time, the way I can avoid others from fear or feel hesitant to interact more makes me feel guilty/terrible. My loneliness has contributed a good part to my depression and sometimes has driven me to thinking about ending my own life. I'm trying right now to change that and find some closure, so as I work on being a better, more confident people person, I hope listening to this sub will help me find the individuals I can actually bond with :))

Found the perfect friend group. It was the best. Then, drama. All gone. I miss them so much.

all this transferring is so frustrating. transferred to 5 schools by now (including elementary) and I'm only in high school. I never stayed for more than a year in a school for the high school. I thought last year would be the last. A side effect of transferring too much is that I've become quiet shy and socially anxious, but despite that I really tried to make the best of it last year (probably because I was under the impression that that would be the last transfer 😞). I made great friends. My socially inept ass was actually good friends with everybody in my class and a few outside my section. I had 3 friend circles and 1 main one that I was really attached to
Now all that is slowly fading away. I transferred to another city quite far away. Messaging has always been a hassle for me and keeping in touch was almost impossible. Friends would talk about something that happened to them in the gc and I'm so sick of asking what happened every single time because I wasn't there to witness it. Speaking from experience I knew it was gonna fade away overtime. Long distances are shit especially if they're not your childhood friends or something

My best friend of 10 years changed so much this year that I don't even recognize her anymore and It's so obvious that in our friend group I'm the least liked one. This never used to bother me before because I at least had her. Since she got into a stable relationship she started changing. It's like she sees herself better than me because she's in a long relationship and I never had one which is so mind blowing to me. It hurts so much because I thought so highly of our friendship and her, and If the roles were reversed I know I would never act like that. I know I deserve better than this. Hopefully with this subliminal, when I move away for college soon, I'll be able to find new friends and someone I could actually call my best friend.

So kind my friend is pretty and sweet. She is co cool and only wants the best for me. She stays with me and stands up for me. She is smart and loves me. We study in the same school and we hang out with each other all the time. She is so fun and lovely. We have no secret jealously towards eachother. We both want the best for eachother.
For a while it felt like I had notoriously bad luck when it comes to friend groups I'd always be excluded or somehow fall in with the wrong crowd. I thought there was something wrong with me or my personality. It's happening for the 3rd time now and I just want to find someone who enjoys my company.
