This comment reminds me of a sketch for the Kids in the Hall's return in 2022 where David Foley plays a radio DJ in the apocalypse. He only has one record and it's a single so he plays the same song over and over again in his underground bunker. Worth doing a youtube search for it. So depressingly funny.
I played full throttle in 1999 at my cousins house, i was 5 years old. The part where you clear the way with the bunnies is literally one of the first memories i could remember, ive been looking for the game for years and i finally found it. The nostalgia is unreal, this game is seriously so fucking amazing and good for its time.
That game is so influent that even not playing it when it came out in 95 I had one of my best experiences in gaming when I played it last days, same thing with Beneath a Steel Sky
When I was in fifth grade I drew a picture of Ben, and my school put it in the yearbook that year. As an adult in his 30s today, I’m amazed how much of an impression this game has left on me and so many others
It is amazing! Most of the population on Earth is dead because of some plague (diseas? Nuclear fallout?) and this guy is so happy because he can score some chance of having the girl he loves that he is actually thanking God. I love that
I think if the citizens had their own radio program, this would be on it. But they don't because they're poor. So the State gets to decide what music gets played, unfortunately. Hmm...someone should make a citizen's radio station mod. Maybe it'd be hosted by The Thorn, or someone in Freeside perhaps. - - I've got some more songs to add to the Citizen's Radio Station! We were playing 'name that country song' game and my friend who's a big Country buff was getting all of them so I pulled this song up and he had this confused WTF look on his face...hehe
Great job, excellent edit :D Here are some slightly more accurate lyrics : The population is greatly decreased, and now the odds are greatly increased, that I may someday get a chance, to kiss your lips. I thank the Lord each day, for the apocalypse. Folks are mostly disfigured or dead, but Sugar I wont let it go to my head. My mama's face has dripped down into the dirt, but I'm still chasing chitlins, whiskey and skirt.

Yes, the same here. Especially when you're not English-speaking kid. For you this sounds just like a cool catchy melody with a funny voice. And then you grow up...
Imagine Ben and Mureen's shack, years later. Ben walks into the kitchen for a snack. He takes the lid off a container and peers inside. He sets it down, opens the refrigerator, and closes it. Then, in that voice like a rock crusher, he says "Hmmm... there are cookies in the jar, but no milk...."

@@VCDPlus So the misunderstanding can be that they were hired by Lucas Art to compose and perform music for the game, but this music isn't performed by them but by some "Chitlins, Whiskey, & Skirt"??
