How to fix small menus and fonts in 3DS MAX on Windows 10

May I add that this fix also works for 3DS Max 2010, running on Windows 10 Pro and Windows 10 Home.

It worked like a charm thank you! I was about to give up on using 3D max on my UHD laptop screen! A small addition to your solution is that you do not need to set the comparability part to any previous versions of Win. Just set DPI to System and it will work. Thank you again! yes it did help .. I was messing around in the 3dmax prefs and getting no where (because there were also very small also).. would never have "accursed" to me to go into compatibility and even if it did i would not have any idea what all those settings do ??? So if anything you did teach me how to fix other app font problems also :)
but that douse not mean i am going to google a solution to every problem i have before trying to figure it out myself first.

I have one another issue can u please help.
I am using 3dsmax 2018 on Windows 10.
I tried to convert a plane into cloth. After creating plane, selected cloth from modifier, then selected Object properties in cloth., so got a window to convert plane to cloth, but the window height is bigger than the 3dsmax one, and the portion containing OK to click is hiding below the task bar.
I am not able to resize the current window at its edges. Is there any option to resize the window, other than to turn on the option to hide the task bar.
Its same effect even the main 3ds max window is minimized to small size.

The properties menu is not exactly the same, but trying a little bit on the compabylity window I get it_!
