This got me thinking about my favorite PS1 game. It has to be Gran Turismo 2. I can't tell you how many hours I put into that game. I remember reaching the 98.6% game completion or whatever, which actually was full completion. It is such an immersive racing sim, even by today's standards.
I know there are other racing sims etc but I don’t think anything can compare to gran turismo 2 when it came out, it was just so mind blowing at the time. I really game changer
Driver was class. Tearing through white picket fencing and jumping over bridges whilst watching the police cars get totalled in the rear view was just so satisfying. I remember paying £49.99 back in the day for Tekken. I worked a Friday night to pay for it ! Did the same for Tekken 2 release. Money was harder earned back then. No minimum wage.
I remember when resi 2 first released, my first ever midnight launch at what was electronics boutique back then. 49.99 for the game and the official strategy guide. Still got them to this day. Personally i would have had rollcage and parasite eve on my top 10
@@AnotherNormalYorkshireman ah man, I’d love to own that strategy guide! That would be awesome, I’ve not played roll cage myself and I still haven’t completed parasite eve either 🙈
@@Waynesworldofgaming I have that strategy guide in a frame on my wall. That and the game are genuinely the only things I still own from being young. If you like wipeout, rollcage is similar to that and has a banging soundtrack.
Only my opinion I won't bore you with a full list all I can say is they are all rps including wild arms alundra and my no1 is still my number 1 of all time ( this is where I get a bit daft ) iv fully completed it over 100 times the mighty FINAL FANTASY 7 utter perfection
Great list bro. I borrowed the original Gran Turismo off the big man and ploughed ten hours into it one Saturday, hooning the endurance races. Good times. Destruction Derby is a good call, DD2 I thought was better though in terms of damage model and soundtrack. Wreckfest is an absolute blast though. THPS2 is a banger, great shout! SH revolutionised survival horror in a way that made Resi Evil look like the Teletubbies game, the transitions to the Otherworld were genuinely unsettling. FF7 is brill, but at the risk of sounding like a lunatic, I actually preferred 8. Two top tier games though! Have you played any of Kojima's earlier stuff? I've been meaning to play Snatcher or Policenauts, but finding the time is just a nightmare these days! Have a good one bro!
I did have a go at snatcher the other week mate and I couldn’t get on with it, maybe I’m just thick 🤣 A lot of people preferred FF8 over 7 to be fair so you’re not on your own .
Not only was MGS number 1, you opening with the Policenaughts theme makes me ROCK HARD. Subbing for more content.
@@quackmandoo thank you I appreciate it ✌🏻
Great list, Wayne, I'd struggle to pick between MGS and RE2
@@Wildgamehunting mate it was solid!!
Good video and good list. I like when you talk over the games that you don’t sound like you’re following a script; stops me switching off.
Thanks dude, I’m not going to lie. Every video I have ever made I’ve never wrote anything down or any notes. I wing the lot 🙈🤣

@@dazdaz105 I know man! My first job I was literally getting paid £51 a week 🤣 and people moan that games are expensive now 🙈
Actually… the top 3 are pretty solid. Those’d be mine… maybe in different order.
@@warrenellis1023 what order would you have gone with? 🤔 MGS and RE2 was so hard to place, I wanted to give them both number 1 spot 🙈

I good mix there! I love a lot of those, it’s so hard to just pick 10
One game I love is the original Rayman, I honestly don't think there's ever been a 2d platformer as good as that
