I'm impressed by the fact that NFS Carbon not only reliably averages around 400fps (good enough for a 240-360Hz screen), but also properly utilizes an enthusiast grade GPU released 16 years after it launched while running under DX9.
In this video, I play a new Career mode in a mostly stock Need For Speed Carbon at 4k resolution on my overclocked Asus Strix RTX 4090 and i9 14900KS CPU @ 5.9 GHz All-Core OC. ***************** Note: I'm going to be releasing a series of never before released videos back when I was on my RTX 4090 and i9 14900KS CPU. I'm publishing these videos now to keep the content flowing on my channel until the new Nvidia cards get released. Thank you to all who are still supporting the channel! I start the career prologue and get started with everything to start a whole new game from scratch. There is no commentary for this video. Only gameplay immersed footage only. I will never understand why ea won't remaster carbon underground 2 and most wanted 2005 it's literally free money i would buy all of them for 40$ each if they do that Great content as always and there's a good chance tomorrow I'm getting my 9800x3d its in stock and not crazy price around 579$ which is normal after taxes in my country yeyyyyy hopefully this week I'm going to trash my space heater model-14900k
@oldtimebenchmarks5294 Yeah, I love all the classic Need For Speed titles and would totally buy a remastered version of them all as well. And nice man, I hope you are able to snag that 9800X3D! 🤞💪
its interesting that how the game is actually able to utilize the hardware. i'd expect a game this old to underutilize it. also it still looks very good.
How does your game run so smoothly? When I try to play the game on my RTX 4090 it runs like at 2 FPS. But this didn’t happen on my older pc which had a GTX 1060. Do you know how to fix this?
This game was amazing. Maybe I prefer this more over Underground 2. So bad that the game is too short. I wish it was longer because it's really good. 🤧🥲

@rush4360 Yeah, it's got a few modifications to allow it to run at 4K. The stock game would only allow a 1280 X 1024 resolution.

@avvyuktsingh7172 Well, I'm running it at 4K with a mod, and that may be why it is running better.
@ i already have the widescreen mod and the hd reflections mod, am i missing anything else?
@avvyuktsingh7172 Yeah, I only used the wide-screen mod, so I'm not exactly sure why it is performing so badly on your system.
@@LousWRX maybe because of downloading issues ill try again
