I’m down for a new legacy. Any gameplay would be fun. What you could do is start a new save and then have the “heir” of the Bell family be the spouse of your sim and that way we technically go on with the Bells but it’s also its own thing entirely

I think the death of a parent can lead Warren to put the cowl on (and become Grim, not Batman). Before in the legacy we had a child bring a parent back to life, but what if this legacy heir, gets the opposite type of inspiration, a love for death.
Woahhh yes I really like that idea!!! Maybe it could be something like him becoming a little crazy bc he can't handle that he once was dead and now he experiences the (early) death of one of the parents that took him up and brought him back to life, when he was all alone and dead

triplets really put the nightmare in nightmare legacy
another sims youtuber called concat did this with her triplets: had them compete for the title of heir. she had a points system, ie getting an a in school gives you a point, but she let them be totally autonomous, so it could work in this context, but also having some sort of competition between the triplets for heir would be inhumane but hilarious!
Hhm…Kayla could use this to determine which triplet meets a tragic end. 🤔 But this also sounds like the Flarken Challenge.

New legacy for New Year, but only if Bell family Heir becomes new legacy founder's spouse! (And pls don't kill any babies, Warren's origin is good enough motivation, we don't need another ghost and 9 sims adds to the chaos).
Would be so cool if, for the ending of the legacy, only one sim of the family grow old and just don't have kids, so they would live with a bunch of ghosts in the house from past generations until he passes and the game gives off the "game over" pop up.

I think it would be fun to start a new legacy on New Year's, especially since next year in the Sims' 25th anniversary. I dunno if there's anything there, but it might be fun to start a new series and explore some of the lesser-used careers and stuff (or the ones you haven't done in a long time) as a kind of ode to the game.
(I also can't wait to see the new legacy challenge you're writing when it's ready!)
I had a fun idea for a new legacy, based on Stanley. Every new generation will wear be a costume (bear, hot dog, etc), and each generation can only earn money from the hobbies, and only get furniture from stealing or the dumpster, while played on short life span. Each gen would also be required to have a random amount of kids based on a roll of dice as well.
Love the idea of a new legacy. Love the Bells, but I also think a new family would be fun to play with.
Also, maybe Elijah should be the one to become the ghost who would inspire Warren in his journey.

Also, since no one reads my comments ever but I really really wanna tell someone who will understand- in my legacy save I placed the maxis high-school years townies (Bella Bachelor, Eliza Hastings, etc) and after they aged up into young adults I was moving them out and into the houses they belong in and I accidentally put Bella and Bob together, so well, now it's Bella and Bob Pancakes, Nancy and Mortimer Goth, and Eliza and Geoffrey Landgraab (I had already changed his name to landgraab)

I had the weird glitch where the game didn't want to click on anyone else unless you paused it and would easily click over to the sim you wanted to click on. Turns out it might just be that you either have bad cc, need to delete your local thumb cache file or repair the game.
Not sure it's cc, I don't have any mods or cc and I've been having that issue too

I still think Warren should be a ghost hunter for October and then the next generation can be the death reaper. Warren would look at it more like helping spirits move on versus destroying them.
I have been having a glitch recently were sleeping will not fix my Sims energy. I don’t have any CC installed or any mods so I think it’s a little strange.

Instead of a new legacy you could do a Not So Berry or bring back the Wheel Spin series. Even if only for a few episodes. It was one of those that got me to subscribe years ago and I’d love to see a return of the format

new year new save!! i love that idea. i saw a few other people in the comments say that you could still have the bells be around, but just play with a new family, and i like that idea!! like if you started a new legacy save but moved whatever bell family you're playing with to the save, and then the kids of the new legacy have the potential of marrying into the bell family but you don't have to play the bells specifically (just do like you do for the non-heirs of the bells and move them out with their spouse)
...plus, a new family would mean we could have a new last name to make fun new names for :)
if you did a new legacy challenge, maybe each generation can be focused on a different pack. like a super sim challenge, but the aspirations/skills/careers are spread across multiple generations instead of all with one sim
to make it more chaotic, there could be a wheel spin involved for which pack the next generation will be, how many kids there will be, which love interest each will marry, etc

Elijah Bell could be eligible for the reaping, since toddlers are fireproof. Warren pleads, Grim says no, Warren asks why. Grim, knowing Warren was formally dead, opens up to him about the soul economy or whatever reapers are dealing with these days. That’s when he decides for sure he wants whatever the new career is (reaping?) Maybe when he gets older, him and Vernon (his original ride or die) move out to the new EP world and add Elijah to the household so he’s eligible for any new resurrection type we may get.

I think one of the triplets should be the heir (Ted is also my fav!!) and then if there is a new legacy in the new year, use Warren as the starting point as he’s not technically related to the bells and it can create a whole alternate universe of where he didn’t die as a child and the grim pack will have come out!
I always thought Warren Bell sounded like "warning bell" for misfortune, so I think an accident befalling the family would be fitting.
Also for the lag: I have heard that doing "save as" helps with the amount of data in the file somehow? Honestly you are such a trooper, I can't play if there's even a little bit of lag. It makes me crazy. Watching it was no big deal though, I just felt for you.

I think a new legacy would be nice. Maybe with some new rules or a historical aspect. Like the first generation is living on a farm without technology and of the grit. The next one gets to use electricity, but no computers and so on.

Or use the "clean up toddler/infant" interaction on the sink. It doesn't clean them all the way but far less glitchy than the bath.

I think you should update the not so berry challenge with the new packs and add more generations and mix it up a bit with all the new traits and career options so its not the exact same as the original one. You could call it the Not so Berry 2.0 or something.
Maybe end this series with Nina as the last generation and she can marry her gf and then have a droid as a child living happily in a cute home and Rest from taking care of so many children.

I know Sims 4 isn't exactly a bastion of rock-solid stability when it comes to the programming, but man Kayla runs into lag and crashes I legit have never seen in all the time I've been playing this, and i play it with a ton of mods lol.
I wonder if it’s partly her streaming/videoing programs OR the fact her houses are build with bb.moveobjects which has a lot of bugs in game play.
Something I like about a legacy challenge is to see how the genes pass on through generations. If Warren becomes the heir we won’t see the genes pass on anymore since he is a wishing well child. I’d prefer Elijah to be the heir because of the pun in his name to keep the Bell family tradition. I wouldn’t mind any of the triplets being the heir as well, but please, not Warren!!

oh that would actually be pretty neat!!! children aren’t fireproof (unlike toddlers) and I imagine Elijah passing would be harder on Warren (and inspire him more) than the tots because at least they come in a 3 pack
I wouldn't mind a new legacy family. I really enjoy watching the beginning of legacy challenges when you're poor and struggling 😂 I go back and episode one of this series all the time for old times sake

I was SO angry playing with twin infants earlier today. Sooooo angry. The adults kept picking them up from the floor, up from furniture, and up from the play mat. It wouldn’t stop. I just wanted to put the babies to sleep, nope. The most simple command turns into a nightmare which is sad because I LOVE the infant animations. They are adorable. Beyond cute. But dear lord, every request to my adult sims is a shit show if they at all interact with the infants. There’s times where the adult just stands there trying to work through how to interact with the infant. It is SO frustrating. I feel your pain very much. I have to laugh or I’ll cry. 😂😂😂😂😂

Instead of a death sentence, maybe one or more of the triplets could want to live with a relative in a different world (like Sulani or Mt. Komorebi) and we pretend it's boarding school.
If you don’t want 9 sims in your household and don’t want to kill one of the triplets, you could always move out Nina when the triplets get older. It’s like she’s retiring from a lifetime of babysitting.

If the game is getting to difficult to play for you, make a new legacy when you're ready! I've enjoyed this one, and I can also enjoy a new one.
What if Warren takes up and masters knitting so whenever the next family member meets their end, he can gift grim a little mini grim and reset his age so that he stays young for the pack. And if he does age to adult, he could do the paranormal job we currently have until the pack comes out. He could gift the extra knittables to the ghosties.

in my save that has been played through many generations, i had to go into manage worlds and delete a bunch of NPC sims. buying recent packs gave me crazy lag with all the extra townies but deleting them helped A TON

11:49 the game has been lagging for me too! However I have over 3k mods. But even without the mods, and playing with just the base game, it's been lagging too. Perhaps the game is getting lagging for everyone because of the update coming up tomorrow? Either way, I'd like to suggest a name for a baby in a future generation! Doesn't have to be next generation, but maybe Stace/Stacy Bell? (Like a play on stable, lol. Or, I guess Stay Bell :D)

26:40 1000% yes. My current legacy I play very casually. I have two kids and one of them has always been friendly with the grim reaper whenever anyone died and their mom is literally enemies with the grim reaper and a spellcaster.

PLEASE....DO NOT KILL THE KIDS!!!!!😂🥺 it's the chaos that keeps this family alive! but I think it'd be interesting if Eugene had an accident during work while going to a patients house... imagine that and Warren would feel the loss of his dad and perhaps this would motivate him to explore the after life... I mean in the end it was Eugene that wished for a child that turned out to be Warren :)

Hi there! I know that Warren was an adopted ghost child and thus not given a name with the intention of having it be linked with Bell and have a meaning, but!!! As soon as lilsimsie adopted Warren I thought that his name, Warren Bell, could mean warning bell?
Which could be considered kind of ominous, but I thought that might make sense with the paranormal pack and/or the new life and death pack? I don’t know, I just wanted to shout that out in case it was helpful should Warren be chosen as the next heir! 💕

Just a sujestion. I know you don’t really want to play with occults in this save, but but all the kids are born (so they aren’t going to inherit anything), and even if you really downplay the Spellcasters, having access to;
A Plentiful Needs Potion for the adult sims to drink in the morning and start their day.
As well as the Scruburoo and Delicio spells, can really cut down on the chaos when raising a large family.

i struggle with this type of lagging aswell, and ive found that defrag-ing your computer, turning it off and on again really helps !

If one of the younger kids die ON ACCIDENT then I think that could be great character building for warren. But I really don't want any of them to die on purpose
I think you should save your house and your family to your library, and then start a new save with that family and house. That way, we get to continue the same legacy family and you can keep upgraded items you’ve earned along the way too in a fresh save.
I’ve been having the same lag and glitch of not being able to select infants and I’m playing on a new computer with a fresh save so I think it’s from the newest update

It's more up to you, since this is about lag and how attached to a save you are, but I'd be down for it, since I've never seen a legacy challenge from the beginning (honestly I started watching with Cay skks)
