In the Elvis world there are gatekeepers, true nice guys and those who just take advantage for their own gain. EP didn’t like the latter. Ed you did a fantastic thing and the want for new Elvis material is so great that the rolling over people to get it, is sadly the way it will go. Stay true to yourself and the treasures you and your family have but keep your guard up.
Hi Ed your channel is awesome, I really feel for you with this issue, a case of Colonel Parker Syndrome I think for the guy who has copied and put this out,I.would be interested in buying copies from you, I live in England and appreciate there will be shipping charges too, let me know what you.plan to do.
Hi Ed I'm very sorry to hear what happened. I'm not a big Elvis concert collector anymore, but your idea, to give out the recordings of your mom are very honorable of you. If you think about to give out them, I really would appreciate to buy the recordings from YOU and ONLY YOU. Cause it's from the work and collection of your family and from first hand. I'll not gonna buy these bootleg versions, cause I know, the real recording is in your hands. I'm looking forward to see and hear news about this soon. You have my support, Ed. Thank you again for let us Elvis fans share your memories about the connection of your family and these Elvis recordings.
Hi Ed ♥ You have such a big heart and people take advantage. Someone is going to make top dollar out of these and not even giving your Mom credit. So sorry Ed ♥ Take care my friend xxx 💝
The Elvis world is crazy. Still almost 50 years later people are still doing underhanded stuff for money. It would be the greatest slap in the face to them if you could sell it to FTD.
I thought you'd found GOLD when you first told us about your mom's recordings. Almost like TRULY having a piece of Elvis that no one else has. Can't believe you gave it up.
That is totally dam shame Ed. You go out your way to help out or share your gem materials only to find they were only intended to get them released for bootlegs and profit. I would and will not buy any of these releases. Your great guy and keep up your great work my friend. I would only buy from you directly. Nothing more or less😎👍🏻🙌🙌
Hello, ED I for sure would buy them from you. Your videos have helped me with my Elvis collecting. Thank you and your family, dogs included ever so much. Keep on TCB.
I love the Angela shows and listened to them when available. They are great and sorry this has happened but some people I’m the Elvis world only see Elvis and his fans as ways to make money. You had the best intentions to share these shows so yes count me in for any ‘limited edition’ cd-r’s of the shows. Best to you Ed.
Ed, you are a very nice individual and too nice. I understand you not being on the up and up with the technical skills to have produced these shows yourself on cd format. Had you been able and to sell them while making a couple of extra bucks, there is not a damn thing wrong with that. You have a great story here with your parent’s involvement of the fan club and shows attended that would interest Elvis fans like myself who is interested in purchasing these sets FROM YOU and only you. I am interested.
Hi, Ed! Congrats on the channel. I am huge EP fan and collector from Bucharest, Romania. About 1 month AGO, I was offered by a dealer in Europe the 2 CD set for 40 euros!!! Without knowing the story behind it, I passed the offer and I tgought is much too expensive. Now that you put the story of the Angela's tapes out, I very glad I passed the offer. TCB!!!
Hi Ed Such a shame this happened, terrible. I would be interested if you make cdrs would only purchase thru you. Sorry this happened again real bummer. Thanks Bill
I saw that coming. People are going to make money off of any unreleased recordings onto cds. Too bad that this happened. I would be bumbed out too. Of course people would bootleg your mothers recordings. .Too bad so sad.
Sorry about your disappointment Ed but, I love your channel and, your parents are so kind and, sweet people!! I would definitely be interested in obtaining these shows, anything Elvis is always a great thing, keep up the great work!!!
I am in Australia myself, but I am sure Ed, that there would be tech savvy Elvis Fans in your area or close by willing to help. I gave-up social media five years ago, YT is the only media platform now, that I use, to express an opinion.
yes, the bootlegging is bound to happen, sooner or later, once the recordings were shared... but the lack of credit is shameful in my opinion, they should have checked what the source was and given credit where credit is due... hope they do eventually... and since these have not been circulated as earlier bootlegs, and these are now "new" bootlegs, that's the more reason to do acknowledgements of the source...
Hi Ed, why don't you get in touch with Ernst at FTD. I am sure he would be interested, and even give you a good price for the original tapes/cassettes. Its a bugger, when other's are making profit from your good fortune. I suggest you find who is distributing, and warn other people away from them. Ed, you could start an Elvis Label of your own. "King's Court" sound's a great name, and a good place to start. The label doesn't have to be big, just a small boutique, specialist Elvis label. Stay safe and go well Ed.
Ed did nothing wrong. The person he'd sent the concerts to did nothing wrong. We've all enjoyed boots. And, frankly, with TH-cam being a downloadable platform, why would anyone pay those outrageous bootleg prices anyway? While this particular situation hit a little closer to home this time, it was inevitable: It's Elvis, after all.
Many people have little to no ethics. If there's a dollar to be made some would sell their own mother. I'm dealing with veterinary bills right now so money is bit tight right now but no bootleggers will get my money even if I decide I can afford it. So sorry this happened to you. Vicki
Every Elvis fan that loves Elvis should have the opportunity to hear previously unheard performances. Bootleggers take the risk of getting caught by creating illegal product. Of course, there are always people out there that are looking for never circulated live shows. Elvis has been dead for a long, long time, so in my opinion, we should enjoy the music while we are still alive to. What is the point of keeping them out of reach and having the future risk of the tapes being thrown out by future generations that do not care? It was a little shady of the bootlegger to use this material for his own personal benefit, but at least the person asked you if it was alright if he shared your mother's tapes. It was strange how the bootlegger operated, but at the same time, their unofficial release on silver disc CD with a booklet is still a good thing. I would not be terribly upset by it. People who desire this stuff should be able to listen to the concerts.
Sorry this happened Ed, you still the owner of the tapes. You should reach out the to the Eap society the have a channel maybe they can do some with it? Better chance of of your family get recognized. Just a thought . Thanks
WOW ED!! JUST WOW!! Really?? Some folks are just "Class-less". You try to do a good thing for Elvis fans...try to share what your mother had recorded. If not for your mother and if not for your thoughtfulness...none of us would even KNOW that these existed. I am sorry that this happened to you. This really is hurtful to say the least! "Shameless trash" to profit and take credit for something special that was not theirs to begin with! Stay strong Ed!! Aloha!!

Sorry to hear the news on your mom's tapes. It's a world right now of greed and dishonest ways. I blame how the governments around the world bent the knee to China and their insane methods. America and the free world was not made for socialism because people get ripped off and the governments around the world is no accountability. We are in these days and good and honest people like you, Ed, get hurt. I appreciate you and what you achieve to do in every way. We hope things work out in the future. Take care. I would love to hear some of your mom's concert recordings. Shame on whomever has decided to make money off of your kindness of sharing. Speaking for myself, I'd only want to listen to your mom's recordings for my enjoyment alone. Maybe my son too, as he likes Elvis, but he's not a full blown Elvis fan, as I am. Anyway, it would be just me, in my little Elvis room in Missouri. 🙂 People these days. You can't trust very many people. It sucks!

I’m so sorry Ed that people are using your mom’s tapes to profit off of and not even giving your mom credit. If at all possible I would love to get a copy of Elvis’ July 16 1975 concert in New Haven CT

I enjoy your show, you are very knowledgeable! On a side note, can I ask you something? Do you know anything about Elvis's second acetate he did at Memphis Recording Service? I think the songs where, I'll never stand in your way and I wouldn't be the same without you? This was the second time he came to the studio and Sam Phillips was at this one, not the first one. He said he made a record for his mother. Maybe he was referring to this one?! I wish someone could tell the story on that one. Something else, my grandpa bought me 5 or 6 LP'S in 1978, I just turned 10 at the time and I was just getting into Elvis. Let's see, King Creole, Live on stage at the International hotel, Today album, Elvis's Golden Records volume 4 and Having Fun with Elvis on Stage and I think one more. But anyway I heard you say that the talking album was junk! At first I didn't know what to make of it because I wanted to hear songs. But I eventually listened to it and enjoyed it! Elvis's charisma, his laughter, his jokes, his stories, ( he told of how he grew up and made a demonstration record, and how he met the Col and people would make fun of him in highschool saying he's a squarrel, just came down from the trees, get him, and others). I thought the record was very revealing! His banter with the audience and him never taking himself too seriously, I thought was great. Some of the sound wasn't too bad either and I wonder where the rest of the concert recordings are? All I can say is give it a second try, especially if you love Elvis. He is the King of Rock and Roll, but he is also the King of Charisma! Have a great day!
@@TheKingsCourt1972 The second had the songs I wouldn't be the same without you/and that other song I mentioned. I'm cooking right now so it's hard to think. I'll get back to you ok.
@@TheKingsCourt1972 I'll never stand in your way was the other song. I just wanted to know what the back story was with Elvis recording the songs. I have both songs. One of them is on the Elvis by the Presleys CD.
@@TheKingsCourt1972 I was just wondering if you listened to Having Fun with Elvis on Stage yet? Those recordings I talked about earlier are on Sunrise Elvis Presley CD. Check out. There's history that is not being told. Anybody who knows something is getting old, or has passed. Just wondering.
Hello Edd I was wondering could you send me a copy of them concerts I would love to hear them if you could if you can't I will anderstand here from you soon Adrian
@@TheKingsCourt1972 okay thank you I can't wait to listen to your dad about Madison Square garden in 1972 I still think they record them on film your dad mite have Sean the camera s there filming them
Oh dear! Sorry you got ripped. There's a lot of Colonel Toms out there. You had honourable intentions and must be upsetting to have your mum's recordings ripped by someone who wanted to profit from them. Don't feel bad about putting your own CDS out and charging for them as a way of getting the recordings out there for the fans
You have been literally stabbed in the back Ed. All for a very kind gesture, on your part. When it comes to making a buck, friendships and loyalty goes down the plughole.
Sorry to see how frustrated you are Ed. But in the world of bootlegging it’s to be expected. My guess is that as soon as one gets ahold of your mom’s shows, they will be uploaded onto the internet where folks will be able to download them for free. I personally love collecting factory pressed bootlegs but many collectors simply put them on their hard drive and listen that way. Great channel.

Just wondering.

money talks😡😡😡😡shame on them
Ed, why didn't you offer to FTD?
I don’t think they’d be interested…👍
This makes me angry for you....😡
I'd talk to a lawyer, find out your options. You might not gain anything financially but maybe you could shut 'em down
The only thing is I am from the uk
Greedy hustlers.
I'm really sorry this happened Ed 😥 I would be interested in a copy
