I believe Christopher Manson, an American men’s wear model that was considered but never chosen to portray Jamie’s Son, i doubt he would fit the criteria for the show runners though, he is very handsome and remarkably like a younger Jamie/Sam, he would look good in a Scottish highland warriors kilt…. I couldn’t remember his name…..my good friend Galway Girl came to my rescue 👍
@bernicebest Yes, I believe if he could learn a bit of Gaelic and a Strong Scottish Accent, Chris Manson, with Acting Experience, and His Very Handsome Features could become a young Brian Frazer ❤️
@@freidagreenfield6270 I agree Freida, the Scottish accent could be taught with a dialect coach, it remains to be seen what the show runners decide, I would hope they would consult with Sam, the prequel after all is the foundation for the Jamie Fraser story which has we all know Sam has been heavily invested in, i believe if they get it wrong it could be the death of a prequel, I absolutely loved the very young Jamie Murtagh spoke with about the death of his mother, I wonder what became of him! well it’s in the lap of the gods now as they say, what will be will be! 🤗
I just do not understand why they don’t give them an award, the cast of Outlanders deserves it. This is much better than any movie that came to the cinema. So sad it is ending but can’t wait for Blood of my Blood. I give 8 ⭐️’s for this series will miss Claire and Jamie 😢
Im a huge fan of Diana Gabaldon, of Outlander hence look forward to Blood of my Blood. Hope Mrs. Gabaldon keeps writing ! What a talented, creative, captivating storyteller she is!
I’d like to see Claire’s parents story, where did her ability to travel come from? One parent? Both? Her Uncle Lamb? I know Diana said she isn’t interested in them, but I think that’s where the real story is.
Yes! I’d love to learn about her adventures with her uncle. The one scene in season 1 was so intriguing but very short lived. I always find it peculiar how there’s much emphasis on Jamie’s family dynamic but no references at all to Claire. I love the series, but I’ve always found that interesting.
OMG!! I cannot wait for this. The casting has to be perfect since that's what we're used to with Outlander. The leads need to be spot on perfection and stunning to look at, IMO. Can't wait!!
I would love to see a prequel to Outlander featuring Eleanor Tomlinson as Jamie’s Mother, she was excellent as Demelza in Poldark, I believe it will be more difficult to find someone to portray Jamie’s Father, it will take another exceptional rising star like Sam Heughan, and that’s a tall order, I love the idea of some of the cast in cameo rolls, Sam & Caitriona would be ideal if they were willing and available! something to look forward to in the future! 👍 thank you 🙏
@@1fame 😊 Finding someone like Sam Heughan Indeed will be very challenging 😮 But I think and hope that if we (the Outlander Fans) can let go (for a while 😉) of Sam and how EXCELLENT he is at all the levels, we’ll like whoever is portraying Jamie’s father 😄 It will be Jamie’s father 😃 so we’ll like him, fear not and we have to also look deep down in all our love and appreciation of Outlander, of course we love Jamie and Claire ❤️ but don’t we also love, appreciate and long for all that’s around their love story, starting with Lallybroch ☺️.... and that IS Jamie’s parents 😄
@@ATDENALISNOWSHOEHARE thank you Magali🙏 my Alaskan Sassenach friend, I’m racking my brain for a suitable actor to portray Jamie’s father, it needs someone to compliment Eleanor ‘if she’s chosen’ can you think of anyone has charismatic as J/S 💗
Have been an avid Outlander fan. Watched the series multiple times, plus read the books. I am very sad to see the show come to an end. But, I will welcome the prequel. I’m anxious to see how it all began. We’ve had snippets, but it will be interesting to hear the complete story.
@@TheCaroleriordanCome on! She's a guide a tress BUT as we remember her in Poldark, she is 30 yrs younger than the timeliness. Recycle ONLY so much, ok?
When Outlander is over after season 8 , Blood of my Blood will help us in our grief. I believe the casting will be perfect the same as Outlander. I think all involved will want a “hit” show. They will want the same kind of loyal fans.
If They could have !y choice, I would prefer that Outlander with Claire and Jamie would continue for a couple more seasons! I really hate that the series will end so soon!
Oh gosh if we get a young Jamie we will also see William die💔 But after reading the first book and hearing his mom and dad’s original story I am pumped for the prequel. I even hope they keep the Sealy lore in to give it that magical aspect.
Yes be interesting he lives in a time where he really can’t be himself, marry a man being gay in a time where it will Get him or his love interest hanged being a book For sure
The narrator is right to state: " would be error in judgement to make the sequel for the sake of a sequel without the power of Sam Heughan + Caitriona Balfe.
🤔 I mean Claire came from a French family that immigrated to England. That's why she knew French. And Jamie fought in France and also came from a French family that immigrated. So Caitriona and Sam could play a French ancestors since Scotland had many French alliances
Oh if I could be alive for B of My B. Am 75 years old. Have many things wrong with me-including quadruple bypass surgery on my heart. Can’t wait to see Ellen and Brian meet.
Sad to see Outlander ending, but would be right there for the sequel! Unfortunately, I'm sure it won't be anytime soon. But for those who haven't read the books, that would be a good way to spend the wait--I've read all of them at least twice, as well as some of the related Lord John books. There's always some little tidbits overlooked in the first reading! I trust the producers, et al to choose the 'perfect' actors, just as they already have, but think Elinor Thomlinson would be a great Ellen.
I'm excited, but to wait till 2025 😪, I hope it shows the first season w/ little Jamie all the way up to the finding of Claire also included a episode of how Jamie got the scares on his back ❤
It will be interesting, to be sure, but Herself needs to complete the final book (10) of the series first. We know that Bree is a doppelganger for Ellen, so if Sophie Skelton is not engaged elswhere she's the logical choice to play her grandmother imho. The young man who plays William Ransom is a good fit as Jamie's son, so they need to get someone with a similar appearance to play Black Brian Fraser.
I enjoyed Outlander the best during the first 2-3 seasons when it was built around what the clans were doing. Haven't enjoyed it as much taking place in America.
I hope I am living when Blood of my Blood airs. Lol! I can’t imagine anything even coming close to the love story between Jamie and Claire in Outlander which I am about to watch for the third time!
No hay ni un solo personaje que no me haya encantado❤. La mejor serie que he visto nunca. Catriona y Sam perfectos, pero he disfrutado de cada uno de los actores secundarios. Simplemente perfecta😍😍🇪🇦
Do not believe half of what they claim Sam Heughan says is to happen on the last of the series. He was told, so yes he knows. However he agreed he would not reveal that information prematurely. He was told by the writer, Diana Gabaldon. So, just hang in there! 😊
I do have an actor in mind for Ellen. The beautiful Jeannie Ross! Tomlinson doesn’t have the fresh beauty nor the amazing similarity of face and body type to Briana.
Isn't Brian supposed to be a Silkie? I think that's why Jamie has visions and appears in ghostly apparitions. Frank isn't a descendant of Black Jack. We know that much.
For Jaimes' Father but They're Probably Too Old to play Brian Frazer, Henry Cavill, ❤ British but Awesome and Then There is Gerald Butler and He is Scottish ❤ or Robert Patterson ❤ British, a Little. Younger. They're all Great Actors with Good Looks and Hunky Bodies, That Have All Played Batman or Superman❤ I'd Love to See Another Scottish Guy and Doesn't have to have Red Hair if Ellen has Red Hair ❤ and I'm guessing Butler is a Little too Old 😢 but He is School and Can Really can Put on That Thick Scottish Accent. Yumm, They can do Wonders With Make up
If you like watching historical love stories and such it looks ok. But if you're a fan of the supernatural and time travel like in Outlander than this show would be disappointing.
I think it would have been better if Blood of My Blood had been first. Anything is bound to be disappointing after Jamie and Claire. I also think that there might be a loss of interest even in Outlander as it is being drug out over an extra year by dividing season 7. I read all nine books and loved them , but season 7 has been a disappointment to me. It took the season finale to really get in to the grit of the material it is covering.
Sophie Skelton would be perfect as Ellen MacKenzie Fraser. Brianna has been described all through the books as being the very image of her grandmother Ellen. Sophie is still young enough tp portray a young Ellen and she is now a seasoned actress more than capable of playing the part. A good segue into this sequel would be to show the portrait of Ellen described by Claire as hanging in the National Gallery of Scotland. Of course, the portrait should be a likeness of Sophie.

Yes to the prequel. It will be a wonderful way to continue the saga, in a prequel kind of way. I will watch it gladly. Thank you.
I think Diana really loves the Scottish clan politics and landscape which is why she would do it on Jamie's parents
