Hey! Thank you all, folks, for kind words right after my presentation, and now here on the internet! 🙂 Wanna hear a cool story that happened right before this presentation? In the hotel, before I packed my MacBook, I checked the slides and that the demo app template runs on my iPhone. My talk was the first one on the second day of the conference, so I had an advantage of calm setup - I checked all cables, clicker, started OBS, Xcode, Android Studio, and still had 15 free minutes, so I decided to run the demo app template upfront, just in case. And it failed!!! 😧 The compiler said there is a problem in my CocoaPods module and it will not compile the app. I was like 🤯 ?! How can that be, I checked everything 20 minutes ago! I suppose I had a very baffled face as some of the first visitors asked if everything is fine 😅 Meanwhile I tried to get through compilation errors… 10 minutes left. My MacBook isn’t that fast, so each of my guesses took about 2 minutes for validation. 6 minutes left. I decided to recreate the demo app from scratch. The default counter app failed and didn’t compile. It was clear that the problem was not with the plugin itself. 4 minutes. I recalled I had a similar issue because of networking problems, so I turned mobile data on (hello roaming rates), pressed Cmd+D to compile and start the app, and went to ask the orgs if I should start. The recording is started, you can see me returning to the stage. Out of the corner of the eye, I see the counter app running on my iPhone. The presentation begins. 😅
after seeing him start the application and the app opens up the camera .. and the box was rendered perfectly . i was like . (holy ****! it works!) I had to pause to video and press the like button . 🤣
Is Unity still the recommended framework? Thoughts on Tilt5 AR? Can Flet (Python) also be used to do a Flutter AR App? I'm thinking of a BINGO-like game that overlays a coin on a specific square in the grid.. where, if A4 is said/entered, the Android app would use a marker/fiducial on the page to calculate how far into the grid it needs to place a coin (scaling it based on the the angle and how close the camera is to the paper) How small/precise can the overlay be?
verey good presentation it was so useful , my question is , can i make my own model in blender or some where aand then add it to my ar app on flutter , if it possible then how can i do it thanks .
I've a question: can I teach my image recognition to detect not a particular image but for example an image of a generic cup giving at the beginning a db of correct and uncorrect images? Or something like that
ARKit is the Android equivalent to ARCore. I have not created a Flutter application utilizing AR on both platforms, but I would imagine that you would need to implement ARCore actions within the IOS directory and ARKit in the Android directory. If I am incorrect on this assumption somebody please let me know. I would love to know the best way to create a cross-platform AR app utilizing Flutter.

Yes there is but is super basic, all you can do is add an sphere in the plane/camera.
