They don't have pay at the pump at a lot of truck stops.I believe the Sandia Mountain range may be visible from Santa Rosa . Looks like your going to miss the best part of south/central NM, ( Ruidoso and Cloudcroft , beautiful Pine covered mountain villages), in the National Forest, they were originally old mining towns. White Sands National park is pretty cool as well. By far one of the best Southern NM attractions is Carlsbad Caverns, a must see. There is very little to see in El Paso unless you know someone there. There are some major wide open spaces, and a whole lot of desert terrain in NM, so monitor your fuel . There is some pretty good camping in the Guadalupe Mountains just south of Carlsbad in Texas. Not much to see in NM along Interstate 10 until get you get close to Arizona. You can adjust the orifice on your burners to control the flame on your stove or you may need to adjust your pressure regulator, that is a lot of flame for a propane stove. My bus is just a tad bigger 24"8 long and is a year or two later. I've had a lot of experience working on the Powerstroke /Navistar engines. I like the 7.3/t444e's which are virtually the same so next issue you have find a Powerstroke mechanic. My first fuel pump replacement taught me a lot, took me four hours..I do all my own maintenance and repairs. I always have busted knuckles, and oil stained hands. But "Roosevelt" runs like a scalded dog. Good luck. Great videos.
I love this channel... brings back memories. I lived in my bus for three years during some of my treeplanting years/ski groomer operator. In the winter I buried my bus under ten feet of snow and had a tunnel to the door. The ski hill I worked at had limited accommodations so we made a deal they wired the bus like a house, bought me a space heater and I lived in the most comfortable snow cave. So many great memories.... make as many as you can. PS when given the chance fuel up where big rigs do because they tend to have better quality fuel with less water than tanks that don't get used enough.
Hey guys, please check you have the correct jet installed for your stove. Also the regulator on you propane tank could be set too high, Should be an easy fix to get a nice working stove.
Don't ever apologize. You went in further than most of us would have! And never let someone else's insanity shame you! Going cross country, living in tight quarters - that's brave! Communicating and compromising with your partner - that's spectacular!
You two make me want to run right out and buy myself a pre-owned skoolie. I am too old (72) to do a build myself. I have enjoyed your channel from the beginning. Be happy and have fun!
Yup regulator.... And most all if them are adjustable. Turn it down or replace is what I'd recommend. You could try an HVAC guy, as they have meters for testing combustion and setting gas pressure for furnaces and such. Just make sure when you call you specify for propane use.
Idea: You could use that starting-out sequence for each video - bus doors closing, seat belt, key in starting it up. There is a certain anticipation pleasure people get when you repeat something. The tv shows all used to have something like that at the beginning. It works. People get pleasure from it. LOVE YOUR VIDEOS!!!
So glad to see you both back on the road!!!! Stay safe out there and TRUST YOUR GUT....when things don't feel right, it is usually because they aren't.

On the issue of your LP gas burner. You might need to look into getting a LP gas regulator it will help regulate how much fuel you use most RVs have this already installed on the front of their LP tanks
You all didn't even get your heads under the water, a quick complete dip is the best way to get something like that over with. Even with that being said, you guys are very chill and entertaining to watch. Thank you for sharing your life with me and the rest of the world.
Hey Guys glad to see you on the road. New Mexico is cool but hate to say Blue Hole is freezing in the summer lol. But mega proud you took to he plunge. So you guys hurry up and make it back by February so you can help me build mine out lol. Have you two and Merry Christmas 🎄

Hey, sweet friends! If you use cup hooks (in hardware section near screws and nails in WalMart or Lowe’s) and a bungee cord inside your cabinet, it will keep your cups upright. You can also use the expandable tension rods (what we use), but the cuphooks and bungees are cheaper. I love you guys so much! You are both so precious! (Yep, I’m sold enough to be your momma.) That wind was crazy...61 degree water is freezing!!! I hope you had a float or a rope in case something happened. Y’all scare me! Take care of each other! Just an FYI...the Red Cross says you should not swim in water colder than 65....you made a good decision to stay out of the deep water. No...Kansas did not make you look bad, it made them look foolish. I am very proud of you both....be smart...we want you to have fun but also to survive the journey. Much love from SC, Jane❤️🙏🏻🎄Merry Christmas!
Jimmy & Natalie: I really enjoyed watching your video this morning. Surely by now someone has informed you how to adjust the flame on your gas range. I would assume each manufacturer and model have variations of how to accomplish this, but you don't need to hold the pan up off the stove. Go online with your manufacturer's name and model number and ask how to do it. Here is a simply generic explanation I found online but the particulars may be different for your specific range. NOTE: If the flames are too high or low and you must adjust them, you may do so manually. Light all surface burners. Turn the knob on the burner being adjusted to Lo. Remove the knob. Insert a small, flat-blade screwdriver into the valve shaft. Turn the valve to adjust the flame. Replace the knob. Keep up the good videos!
I would have jumped not in the water but up those stairs and you wouldn't have caught up with me lol 😆 😅 😂.. Jimmy could have I'm short he has long legs I got cold watching you guys 😅 😂 🤣 😄 GOOD JOB!!!!! OH BTW THAT COUNTED. Be safe on your journeys. God bless 🙏 ❤ 💖
You two are so wonderful. Your relationship is truly a gift 💕 and very special. I must say you both are so courageous. Getting out there and traveling across Americsa you sharing your adventures with us. Be safe and take care of each other. Have a very Mery Christmas 🎄 😀 😊 ❤ ☺ oh yea.... . Make sure you go to he grocery store and buy a special dinner for you. LOL
I took swimming lessons when I was 10 . One of the lessons was swimming on your back . You have to keep your back straight. That kissing saved my life because when I jumped from a very high diving board I was drowning and no one saw that I was ,laud on my back and floated.
The most relatable part of the video was Jimmy driving the bus up to the wrong side of "fuel island" (thanks for the new term). I've had the same car since 2018 and constantly do this when I'm getting fuel, so you're making me feel better. You two are very brave souls for even going in the water. I live in Canada and it was -11°F here on the weekend and what happened at 16:47 in the video is insanity. Lol. Even though I'm used to the cold, I couldn't even do what you two did. Great video and, like I've said before the editing just keeps getting better. I don't think most people realize how much work it is for you to get B-roll and drone footage then incorporate that into your videos so it looks good. Really well done. Your videos are interesting and look great! I can't wait til Thursday.
@@JimmyandNatalie if you just jump in instead of just waiting in the water it is a lot less shock on your body when you just go for it and jump trust me
Diving in is actually easier than wadding. Way to go though, bought would have been cold. 61 degress is cold anytime! We have a blue hole here in Oklahoma but it isn’t deep like that one! Keep on getting out of your comfort zone. You are making wonderful memories! Thanks for sharing!
I’ve only just discovered your channel. I’ve watched a few videos - probably in the wrong order, but already I love watching your adventures. Jimmy is so ‘awkward’, but in a goofy really likeable way, and Natalie has such a magnetic personality that it’s not possible to stop watching. I’m a new subscriber, and will, no doubt, spend lots of time catching up with you guys. I live over the pond in the U.K., but have visited the USA. I especially loved Texas! We still have some extended family living in New York State. The USA is an incredible place to visit, and must be even more incredible to reside in. I’m now too old and infirm to even contemplate another visit, but your videos make it seem like I’m right there with you. It’s amazing to think that in the U.K. it’s not possible to be more than 80 miles from the coast. The USA is just so huge!….
You two are braver than I am because I wouldn't have even went down the steps to get in the blue hole much less take the jump. You guys stay safe on the road and I can't wait to see where your travels take you next.
We got an older diesel RV a few months back and learned through some other youtubers about the TDS Logistics card. Apparently you can take your bus through the truck stop gas stations and you get a pretty heavy discount, some people are saying 40+ cents off per gallon of diesel. It may be worth looking into and probably would make a great video for your channel. Love your videos BTW!
What you have to do in cold water is wade in to about waist deep, then head off swimming as hard as you can for the equivalent of about two pool laps. That gets your blood flowing and gets you adjusted to cold without just standing there thinking about it. Try it next time, if there ever is a next time! Thanks for another great video.

I'm going to have to put the blue hole on my list of places to stop at! Cold water is no fun, I don't blame you. I love your videos - you guys are so good together.
I grew up in Florida and went to the springs all the time. They are cold all year around also. At least you got in, I’ve seen a lot of people put their foot in and turn around. I always loved going during the winter when outside the water was colder than the water. That way getting in feels warm. 🥶
check the gas jets on the stove, there is a different orifice size for LPG and gas line natural gas.. and DITTO on the gas regulator from another post.
Re: stovetop I believe the orifices tou have installed are for natural gas and not propane. Check your manual that came with the stovetop. It may have come with the propane orifices just not installed.
Awe! You guys need to stop in at a dollar store for holiday decorations for the bus. It would look so cute done up.🎄Glad to see you’re back on the road. Merry Christmas!
Free RV Park, you get what you pay for 😂 so true Natalie.. those kids showed you guys how to do the plunge, Jimmy says yeah get use to that on this channel 😂😂😂 . Be safe
If you installed a standard home natural gas cook top and you didn't change the orifice to a propane one then that is why your burner is so high on low. Check that out.
Nice job on the drone shots & way to go on the Polar Plunge. Forgot to mention when you were doing the oil change that there are magnetic oil plugs that can be used to attract metal objects inside your oil pan or you can add a magnet to the end of you oil plug to do the same. If you forget which side your fuel filler cap is on most modern vehicles, take a look at your fuel gauge where you might find an arrow pointing to the side of the vehicle where the fuel cap is located. Your propane stove should have a valve on the stove fuel line near the burner to regulate the burner flame. Have fun out there. Merry Christmas & Happy New Year !!
That abrupt change in the landscape is called the cap rock. It rises about a 1000 feet in less than 10 mile and was the boundary of an inland sea. You were relatively near the sites for the archeological finds of both Clovis (to the south of San Jon) and Folsom (to the north near Clayton) man, once believed to the the earliest inhabitants of the US. Wonderful, wild country. However, the wind is a pesky constant in that country. You were also in Billy the Kid country. Ft Sumner, New Mexico is just a short ways south of the Blue Hole. The Kid was killed, there, by Pat Garrett. He ranged all up and down the eastern side of New Mexico, as well as up and down the Rio Grande. Hope that adds some background color to your adventure. Have fun and stay safe. Enjoy your vids.
🤣 It looked COLD! You guys are adorable and we love you. About your stove burner... You should be able to adjust the lowest flame by removing the knob to access the adjustment screw. Thanks for the video.
Ciao Natalie and Jimmy , I hope you both are going well, so sorry you guys got ripped off by the mechanic ... karma. " Polar Plunge " Hilarious 🤣😂🤣😂👍 Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year I hope you both have something wonderful planned... keep enjoying every moment love U2 Ciao Wendy 🇭🇲 in 🇮🇹 🌲🎅🎁 ❤️🎉🥳⛄❄️ Buon Natale e Felice Anno Nuovo .
Here's a big, big tip! When using most fuel islands for fuel. They have two hoses because big trucks have two tanks on each side. What happens is when you pull up, someone will pull the other hose and fuel up their tanks. They do it to people all of the time, and you're stuck paying for the fuel, regardless of whether they stole it. So, be on the lookout for that. Some pumps have a light to also tell you if the other hose is being used, but they like two break thoughts. Have Natalie watch the other side if you have to fill up at those pumps. A small town for truck fueling island usually is just one hose but long enough to fill both tanks. I tell you this because you can't see what's going on the other side. Hope this helps. Plus, next, if they ever ask you to leave your card, say no, and know how much you need and then charge your card at that point, then go pump your fuel! Friendly, fatherly advice. : )
Happy you are back on the road with problems taken care of. Wait till you get deeper into NM and see all the great western movie terain. Hope you get further West without any other problems. Sitting in Yuma area because it is much warmer than Parker and Quartzsite. Will get back into the Quartzsite in mid January hopefully it will get warmer. Looking forward to seeing you in person. Wow, the burner is a problem. Maybe have your regulator checked. Good luck.

check the gas jets on the stove, there is a different orifice size for LPG and gas line natural gas.. and DITTO on the gas regulator from another post.
You guys are so great together!! Love the video!
Thanks so much!! 😄💚
Loved this FUN FREEDOM adventure and you made me laugh and think, Congratulations 👏 HANG LOOSE !
Re: stovetop I believe the orifices tou have installed are for natural gas and not propane. Check your manual that came with the stovetop. It may have come with the propane orifices just not installed.
You both did it be proud.
We recognized you in Blue Hole (we were in the Tiffin) - were going to say "Hi" but thought - "Let 'em be" keep up the good work. Travel safe. :)
Oh were you the ones with the cat?! (I might’ve seen your cat peering through the window 😅) We would have loved to say hi! ❤️
@@JimmyandNatalie Yes, ... that was "Boo" our "Guard" kitty. Who knows when paths will cross again. Be safe until then. :)
Awe! You guys need to stop in at a dollar store for holiday decorations for the bus. It would look so cute done up.🎄Glad to see you’re back on the road. Merry Christmas!
Here it's now the "Dollar and a Quarter" store.
Thank you, we’re glad to be back on the road! Merry Christmas! 🎄
Love your videos thank you 🙏 and be careful driving.
Before Y'all head to Tucson, AZ Y'all need to stop in Bisbee, AZ and Tombstone, AZ!
Very cute video kids, glad you tried the cold water plunge, I could never do it , stay warm now,
Amazing couple, only just found you, loving your videos, good luck with everything you guys do.
I think you both are awesome!!💖
Free RV Park, you get what you pay for 😂 so true Natalie.. those kids showed you guys how to do the plunge, Jimmy says yeah get use to that on this channel 😂😂😂 . Be safe
I give you a lot of credit for even getting in. Way to go. Safe travels
From California I’ve always known gas pumps as being on island. 🤣. Have a great Christmas, enjoy watching your travels!🎅🏻🎅🏻🎅🏻🎅🏻
Merry Christmas & Happy New Year !!
yay way to go. went further than I would have, just seeing new things is great! I'll stick with ya!
I laughed " I would be running but I can't feel my feet!"
I enjoy watching your channel stay safe and God bless you both. Question why are your indoor lights always on when your traveling.
You 2 are amazing! Good job you 2. I'm shocked there's such pure people in this world! Keep up the good work.....
You did good. Yeah I probably wouldn't go plunging into the water until summer.
🤣 It looked COLD! You guys are adorable and we love you. About your stove burner... You should be able to adjust the lowest flame by removing the knob to access the adjustment screw. Thanks for the video.
Fun video. Stay safe and drink that water Natalie 😉
Ciao Natalie and Jimmy , I hope you both are going well, so sorry you guys got ripped off by the mechanic ... karma.
" Polar Plunge " Hilarious 🤣😂🤣😂👍
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year I hope you both have something wonderful planned... keep enjoying every moment love U2 Ciao Wendy 🇭🇲 in 🇮🇹
🌲🎅🎁 ❤️🎉🥳⛄❄️ Buon Natale e Felice Anno Nuovo .
Thank you so much Wendy! 💚 Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you too! 🎄🎉
I hate cold water too, but that's the kind of stuff you have to do for your fans! 😂
I got certified to Scuba Dive there at the Blue hole. I got to go to the bottom too at 80ft. Brings back memories!!
Enjoyed the video. We are fellow short bus schoolie owners here in New Mexico. This next year will be adventurous.
Good luck.
