Numerology forms the backbone of Astrology. 10th lord in 8th house and/or 8th lord in 1st house (ideally both) is a prerequisite for attaining any kind of Siddhi or enlightenment or mastery of occult sciences. 10-8 and 8-1 is equivalent to 108 number , a divine number mentioned in Vedas. It signifies completion. Otherwise 8th house alone brings obstacles and suffering. And need to see the sign position to dig out further. Also Rahu and Pluto are related to 8th house as well.

Lord of the rashi in 8th house is the lord of the 8th house. If this lord sits in his/her own house (i.e. rashi), a friend's house (i.e. rashi) or in its exaltation sign, the lord is dignified. Sometimes planets can sit in there Kalapurush kundali houses as well which do provide some benefits like Moon in 4th house.

Rahu is the point where we all need to learn the most and usually starts out with some kind of false or deluded believes. It's only through the struggles we encounter that we see that there is much more to it than we liked to believe. The reality is often less fancy and this is why we hardly enjoy it, thus start to add some fancy stuff to make it more shine. Rahu wants to be like a sun or god. But in reality Rahu is a demon. Rahu is the opposite of virtue. It might sound all quite negative but can actually be utilized in order to create a new perspective on something which we encounter and encourages us to think outside the box. Rahu is odd in its approach and sometimes a real snob at the same time. Unrealistically high standards missing empathy and wisdom. This is its natural mode of operation but doesn't necessarily mean that it has anything to do with who you are truly as a person. It's good that Rahu has to operate under the domain of Jupiter because Guru is the highest of the benifics. So Jupiter is what can help to turn around Rahu and abide by cosmic laws while still being able to encounter joy and happiness. Jupiter is that what makes you want to be alive and safe and sound.
Rahu in 12H can give you difficulty in relaxing. One of the special reasons why Venus fares so extraordinarily well in 12H and Pisces is that Venus is very happy with the principles of relaxing and enjoying that what is. @@annereiner8951 wow, I just loved your explanation. Makes the right impact. You said right, I mostly use rahu to analyse when using logic. It really helps. Other times, it does sometimes interfere in terms of rationalising spiritual concepts, god, etc but not much. It comes up sometimes but then i remember the sayings in religious texts, higher teachings which brings my thoughts back on right track.
Haha while I used to be that way a few years ago like you said- chilling on the sofa or bed while munching something and watching my favourite movie. But it was rare and wasn't for long since I have Saturn in my ascendant in birth chart conjunct with Mars and Venus. It has taught me quite a lot about discipline, timing and in being punctual. My Saturn mahadasha began in 2017 and Sade sati started in 2020 😅 so you know it's quite a ride. But I know this is for my betterment for the long run. My horoscope is very Saturn centered in many ways. Surprisingly though, my atmakaraka is Venus. Mercury in 3rd in Pisces does make me a good writer but not sure if it needs more strength in that position. Sun moon conjunct in 2nd in Aquarius I think balances the sun energies in many ways else I feel I would've been an arrogant person otherwise- bad for a Saturn native 😅. But moon needs more attention. Luckily, moon holds a decent degree so it's ok there. What do you have to say? Also, is there anywhere else we can connect as well? Don't know why but I'm enjoying this. I love astrology and talking to people about it. I can go on and on 😃

That which the planet represents naturally (Naisargika Karaka) can come to the forefront through marriage. Eg Sun in 8H D9 can give a clash of egos and the couple has to make this aware so that they can transform interactions. Could give a hidden influence of competitiveness.
