I always think Jeon So Yeon is a woman's version of Suga. She is a genius rapper, song writer, producer, and a famous girl group's leader(But she is more like SUGA type rather than RM). And I remember when Lee Young-ji first appeared in High School Rapper 3, most of the boy rappers laughed at her appearance in school uniform. But as soon as she started rapping with that 'dominant voice', the laughter went away. The scene was really exhilarating. She was a novice, but she beat many experienced male rappers and became the winner of that show.
The deep voiced girl who went first, Lee Youngji (family name first, Korean style) first hit my radar courtesy of MNET's "Good Girl" competition show -- she was one of the indie artists on the show, where she was paired with idols like SNSD Hyoyeon, and she absolutely held her own. With Soyeon also having collab'ed with Hyo, I wouldn't be surprised if that was the link that helped this come about.
