I fed my Yorkie only steak everyday for like a year, which was very expensive, before that it was always ground beef, every night I would have to cook her the meat and she began to not even want to eat which made me very frustrated. I really appreciate the videos on dog food. Years ago I used to make my own and can't remember everything that I used, but I believe it had brown rice, carrots, lentils, eggs w/shell and some kind of meat. Con Fidential the dogs I live with get a little bit of all the fruits and vegetables I eat. There’s three of the lil bitches and they’re picky so none of them eat the same but they all like cherries, blueberries, shoved carrots, and broccoli My mom’s dogs love quail eggs, chicken eggs, sugar snap peas, tomatoes (small quantities), and the smoothies I make. And my dog eats anything I eat (as long as I chew it for her first. She didn’t luck out on the teeth gene pool) my suggestion: eat lots of vegetables and fruits (just pig out on them) and share anything with your dog as long as you looked up whether or not it’s safe for them. And watch for changes in behavior and stool to make sure they’re not allergic. My dog can’t have chicken (upset stomach and diarrhea, skin irritation and hair loss) and two of the dogs I live with can’t have most grains (skin irritation) Getting your dog what it deserves will cost you virtually nothing of you just let me have a few bites from everything healthy you’re eating. Which should be every meal. This is a long message.. but I hope it inspires you to treat your canine, feline, fish or whatever else as well as they ought to be. Everyone deserves to have a nutritiously balanced diet

All this time I thought I was doing the best for my dogs by feeding them a very expensive commercial dog food brand. Then I find out that it contains sprayed on Powdered meat!! I spend at least $100 a month on this over priced commercial dry & canned dog food....and my 4 dogs are only between 4 & 9 lbs!! I decided to research making their food diet myself. And I found your videos. Can't wait to start feeding my dogs a healthy diet and save money in the process.
So glad to hear! Kibble is crap! Feed real food! Just make sure to have a well balanced diet. Always change some ingredients to ensure your dog is getting all the nutrition she needs. Don't be too worried about it (I mean, lots of humans survive on just fast food). You don't need 10% this and 40% that. Just feed quality items and keep the variety coming. Your dog is lucky to have an owner like you!

I love that you make ur dog food. I make mine also. I just do it in a little different way. When you have a bunch extra I put it in it small zip lock bags and freeze.
My dog is 70 lbs and need him to drop 10 lbs over some time - how much of this should I feed him ? Been giving him 3 cups of natural mix like yours and one cup of kibble in the am - two 15 min walks daily exercise… also what bones or natural meats can I feed for treats / snacks
Lol that's exactly how my dogs eat homemade food. Lol eat it in seconds and I feel bad and usually give them more. It never last. My little 4 pound yorkie just licks the bowl for an hour after the food is gone.
My wife and I have been feeding our dog homemade food since we got him 6 years ago. We mix it with Blue Buffalo lamb kibble (he's really picky and seems to love the lamb flavor). We typically cook chicken, liver, yams and/or pumpkin, carrots and peas. The beans, rice and eggs are a good addition which I'm going to start incorporating into his food.
The brown rice cleans the digestive track and doesn't have the negative affects of starch because of the coating around the rice. The coating prevents the rice from being fully digested.
Leafy Watson Get ready for the squirts then,,, our Vets spent 30 years telling us not to feed our dogs tablefood now these people telling us to do it??
@@beverlybalius9303 My dogs poops are always perfectly normal. Never runny. Sadly, people are fooled into thinking they shouldn't eat "human food". Well, I agree, don't give them fast food, don't give them fried food, etc.. But, meats are what dogs eat! I mix in a few other ingredients for nutrition and to thicken the mixture. My dog gets such a variety of food, is healthy as ever, never had any issues.
My dog was refusing to eat her kibble, so I tried canned food. She wouldn't go near it. It would sit there all night, and I'd end up throwing it out. A month ago I started making it myself. What a difference! I use whatever meat is on sale. So this week she got chicken breasts, chicken gizzards and hearts, mixed vegetables, potatoes, beans, rice, eggs, and hotdogs. She chows down. Her coat is softer. I spend about an hour between prep and cooking, making enough for a week. Happy fur baby, happy mom.
Thank you so much for making this video. My two Cockapoo shave sick a lot lately, and my husband just read an article about rawhide chews don’t get digested-they just stuck in side and can cause blockages. I just don’t trust shop bought food or chews now. I bought a dehydrator for making my own dog chews and I’m definitely going to use your recipe to try out this dog food. Thank you so much.xx
YES Peaches!!! Rawhide is very hard for dogs to digest..especially if they swallow bigger pieces .Ive had German Shepherds for 45 yrs..have been rescuing for 20. They have 600 lbs of pressure between their jaws and they cant chew rawhide , so a small Cockapoo could definately swallow pieces whole. and get a blockage. I DONT feed them anything Rawhide , even pigs ears scare me!!! Have had far too many intestinal surgeries !! Only bones I feed are beef marrow bones .or BIG beef soup bones, and I take them away when they get smaller..They need real bones for cleaning their teeth!!!
Thankyou so much! I'm fortunate to have just found this in my YT feed. Ive just been cooking chicken & sometimes different meats for my furbaby. With dry food. I will try this recipe. It looks good. I am a new sub. Blessings! PS. Your furbabys are adorable & its obvious you love them so much! :-))
Hi! So I'm actually thinking of changing my dog's diet from pedigree gravy to a homemade dog food because after doing a lot of research, I found out that pedigree is not really good for dog's nutrition. I've been watching a lot of videos here on yt about homemade dog foods and yours is the only video that has no negative comments. So thank you for this! I'm definitely gonna try this for my chihuahuaxpinscher. But I have something to ask. For the remaining food, how will I serve it the next day? Should I regrigerate it then boil it again? Thanks!
We warm our dog's food in a small skillet. He won't eat fridge cold food or food warmed in the microwave. I have Chihuahua with very small teeth, so I blitz all his veggies, beans, and brown rice together, but the meat--mostly organic chicken and ground beef--are browned, then added to the pureed veggies. I cook his food weekly and then I freeze them in quart size plastic container. I write the date of when they were cooked on painters tape and a affix it to the tub. That way, he gets a variety of food and in case I'm too tired to cook, I have some in the freezer. I typically have one to two week's worth of frozen food for him. He was nearly 16 pounds when we took him to the vet. He looked like a football. We took him in to see the vet for GI problems. I thought he had cancer. Turns out he was just too fat! Vet said to purchase special diet food. Even gave him medicine to increase his appetite. Poor thing, he was so hungry, he was begging the couch for food, but he refused to get near that canned food. It did stink! Now that I'm cooking for him; he gets 1/2 cup of food a day, he's lost nearly 5 pounds in 2 months. Food change, extra walking, and only part of a persimmon fruit and doggie toothbrush for snack. He loves the food, he moves much faster, he has a lot more energy, and he now loves going for walks. Yay! Sorry for long post.
I’m just glad you don’t add salt or seasonings. But ginger and turmeric are some that have been scientifically prove for good health! I was thinking of adding some of that to my dogs food!
I have a 1 yr old husky and I feed her similar foods, I have found out she hates rice for some reason but I use the broth as well , then I mix 1 cup in with her dry food twice a day , I’m going to start making her dry food as well. She is really picky
Even though I wouldn't eat this as a human lol, I always did appreciate your cooking videos and tips and just your own opinions on cooking. I've learned a lot. I've even made some of the stuff you've done such as the breakfast sandwich. Always worth it.
My dog eats like a vortex as well. Shes a doxie (minpin daschund cross) I've had 11 years. She would eat your face when I got her now I can sit cheek to cheek while she eats. I've got her to slow down a little by making her sit when she eats.
I made this for my dogs, border collie, Aussie, lab and they all loved it! But how do I know how much to feed them per sitting? I feed them twice a day.
Hey, thank you ! My dog had stopped eating her dry dog food . She would go the entire day without eating . I changed her Dog food thinking that would help but I just made it worse . My dog had an allergic reaction that almost killed her . I started cooking home made dog food myself . She is much happier and now demands to be fed on schedule 🤣. Thanks again .
feeding dogs this kinda food is way better than kibble. If you make different things its even better. I try to mix it up a bit and find inspiration on TH-cam. I'm gonna make this next time. If you are unsure (as I am sometimes lol) if your dog gets enough vitamins and minerals from the food you make you can buy vitamins and minerals in pet stores and sprinkle on the food. But anyways, its better than kibble without added minerals too ... When I gave my dog kibble his fur around his mouth would turn red and under his eyes as well! He also pooped A LOT.. which isn't good.. also a lot of farting.... It makes me sad and angry that vets recommend Royal Canin, Hills etc.
Selena Mari I fed him royal canin and hills years ago. Now I almost only feed raw but I have orijen dry food as backup if i forget to take his food out of the freezer.
Kristin7410 I heard Orijen is messed up now. The US ruined it by making it in the states/Kentucky. The ingredients changed. This is the only way to go. No more lazy kibble.
I’m so making this for my doggies, today I boiled some meat scrap, carrots and rice for them they love it. And no they eat this everyday today was just a treat for them.
Been wanting to feed my dog new food for a while now. I get a little nervous because I don’t want to upset my dogs tummy by changing her diet. But I think I will try this!
For sure give it a try! I always make my foods different. My dog gets a wide variety of foods. Always changing. He never has any stomach issues. He gets raw foods one day, cooked meals like this another day, sometimes store bought kibble, marrow bones, treats (homemade or store bought), table scraps, and more. The whole 'changing their diet will cause issues' is just a thing that is mostly a myth. Yes, if you only feed your dog the exact same food, for years and years, then, feeding something else could cause digestive issues for a couple days. But, feeding the same thing for years and years I don't think is healthy either. I find marrow and bones are great to keep stools hard. My dog has probably had runny poop one or two days his whole life, and, he is over 8 years old. He loves raw fish too! Bluegills are super easy to catch, so I often bring one home. He eats the whole thing raw.
@@MsPhillyG I usually keep a bag of Blue Buffalo Wilderness in my home just for when I am out of home made food, or, if I am traveling somewhere with my dog.
I am amazed I could have been giving my pups the SHELLS all along!! Makes perfect sence. One question I had was, amount to feed- I'm familiar with the portions for just dry dog food but does it change at all when its actual cooked meats? Thanks for the video!👍🐶
that could be a little tricky. because how can you really measure the calories per meal. what i did was start at 1/4 cup per 10 lbs. my dog was 30 lbs. so she had 3/4 cup twice a day. from there, adjust according to the dog. if its maintaining weight and looks healthy. then dont change.
I save all my eggshells whether they’re from boiled eggs or just from using eggs in a recipe or whatever. I rent some out really well. I break them slightly. I put them on a tray and I put them in the oven on low for about half hour, and then I leave them on the tray overnight. The next day I come back and, I put them in a little food grinder and make it to a powder. And then before I feed my dogs I just go ahead and sprinkle that in or sprinkle it in while I’m making their dog food cooker definitely eggshells rinse them out really well. Good source of calcium .
Love this! I'm saving it for when I am able to get dogs. I've been searching for alternatives to kibble since we've been learning so many are unhealthy for pets. Plus it just doesn't look very fun to eat. My future pups thank you 😁
My dog is so fussy walks away from steak one day chicken the next end up throwing it away if I cook the wrong thing she will go days without eating if I had any hair I would pull it out

@@mikefondanova4413 Well, I am down to my last few hairs. My dogs love asparagus ! But wouldn't eat the roast that I got them. I gave that to them raw, but they were having none of it. They do however eat the mulberries that are all over in the yard. Last night I made chicken stew, they gave it a lick turned and hid. (I'm really developing an inferiority complex here, or maybe it's my cooking) what do I do? Lol
My Chihuahua used to turn his head away from food too, but since I started cooking his food, he's been eating them happily. Of note: he will NOT eat food that been heated or cooked in the microwave and he hates the smell of pork. I add all sorts of vegetables in his food, but I puree them and add chicken stock, of needed. The ground chicken or ground beef (usually organic) are browned and added to the already pureed veggies. How that helps you finicky furry friends.

Tip: For any broth, make sure it doesn't have any salt or seasoning. Better for the dog's health
Especially if they any heart problems.

She didn’t luck out on the teeth gene pool) my suggestion: eat lots of vegetables and fruits (just pig out on them) and share anything with your dog as long as you looked up whether or not it’s safe for them. And watch for changes in behavior and stool to make sure they’re not allergic. My dog can’t have chicken (upset stomach and diarrhea, skin irritation and hair loss) and two of the dogs I live with can’t have most grains (skin irritation)
Getting your dog what it deserves will cost you virtually nothing of you just let me have a few bites from everything healthy you’re eating. Which should be every meal. This is a long message.. but I hope it inspires you to treat your canine, feline, fish or whatever else as well as they ought to be. Everyone deserves to have a nutritiously balanced diet
All Pets DESERVE to eat this way! ❤️👍🏼❤️

Lovely Video! Apologies for butting in, I would appreciate your thoughts. Have you ever tried - Parlandealey Pets Yummy Process (should be on google have a look)? It is an awesome exclusive guide for discovering healthy recipes for dog food minus the hard work. Ive heard some incredible things about it and my cousin at last got great success with it.
Dog food prep and cook: 2 hours
Dog eating meal: 2 seconds
Me: totally worth it for my smelly ass boy 🐶
I love the way prince holds his plate with his paw...smart pooch. They both are adorable. New subbie!
Just wanted to say I have started feeding my dog these recipes for the past month and she LOVES it. Never doing kibble again.
@@earthling1984 how I do that? How do I know where my dog will get her nutrients and vitamins and minerals from?! I want to stop feeding her store dry dog foods!!!!
Your dogs look so healthy, sure thing with all the quality ingredients you use 🥰👍
I may not have any dogs but I feel like I should cook this for myself. It looks really healthy.
Dog on the left practically having a seizure. Hilarious!
Yeah, he could bearly contain himself!
a seizure is hilarious? 🤔
Just CJ Stop being so sensitive
Great video content! Excuse me for chiming in, I would appreciate your opinion. Have you heard about - Parlandealey Pets Yummy Process (Sure I saw it on Google)? It is a great exclusive product for discovering healthy recipes for dog food without the hard work. Ive heard some extraordinary things about it and my work buddy finally got astronomical results with it.
Poor wording
Sweet -- good job man on taking care of them fur baby's you have they are so sweet looking - good job man
Thats awesome how they wait for your command
My dog loves this
I'll try to cook this for my dogs! Hope they will like it.
I can only say my dog ( with tin&dry dog food allergies) is thriving beautiful from these meal. I cooked for my Girl for a couple of month now, her overall health and and skin has improved in leaps and bounds. ;)
I love that you make ur dog food. I make mine also. I just do it in a little different way. When you have a bunch extra I put it in it small zip lock bags and freeze.
Oh my gosh I was watching while doing dishes and I thought it was my dog whining in the living room and made a mad dash to see if she was OK 😊
Thanks I'm sure my dogs will love this. 🙂
Awesome video! Love watching you cook for your dogs, and they look hella happy.
Just made this for my 3 dogs they loved it
I loved this vid! Thank you so much for sharing 😀
Your dogs are so lucky to have you!!!
Lol that's exactly how my dogs eat homemade food. Lol eat it in seconds and I feel bad and usually give them more. It never last. My little 4 pound yorkie just licks the bowl for an hour after the food is gone.
I made her this and she loves it!! Thank you
My wife and I have been feeding our dog homemade food since we got him 6 years ago. We mix it with Blue Buffalo lamb kibble (he's really picky and seems to love the lamb flavor). We typically cook chicken, liver, yams and/or pumpkin, carrots and peas. The beans, rice and eggs are a good addition which I'm going to start incorporating into his food.
Thank you, I want to express love for my dog and you’ve helped hugely.
Incredible video. Doing this is perfect for me. I’m a fan of cooking interesting things, and feeding dogs, so it’ll work out quite well.
Great video budz!! Thank you!!
I'm jealous, lol,..looks better than what I cook sometimes.
Lol haha
Riiiiiiight
You look like you smell to
The brown rice cleans the digestive track and doesn't have the negative affects of starch because of the coating around the rice. The coating prevents the rice from being fully digested.
Wow we need to start feeding our two shi shu homemade food like this because there's to many dog food brand that's hurting our dogs & cats thanks.
Leafy Watson Get ready for the squirts then,,, our Vets spent 30 years telling us not to feed our dogs tablefood now these people telling us to do it??
Beverly Balius what do you think dogs ate before commercialized dog foods
I'm from Brazil, we usually give the left over for our dogs, cats and the animals died for being old age.
I can’t even afford this for myself..
Awesome to hear you are getting more involved with your pets food! I also dehydrate meats for dog treats!
I can’t wait to adopt a dog ❤️ thank you for this video 😊🙏
I just subscribed to your channel 😊 that will give me more ideas to how to prepare the best food for my little dog 🐕 👍
They are darling dogs!! No animal needs dry food.I learned the hard way..Just wanted to add that for anyone on here..
What am I doing here cause I don’t even own dog.
Look good though. Thank you for sharing.
Love it! Just started making my own homemade!
Thanks!
I just feed straight from the fridge. Just cold. My dog just devours it. No need to reheat.
@@earthling1984 oh okay thank you so much! 😊
? Broth Canned veggies / do these not contain salt... OMG
How do you decide how much each dog gets to eat. I have a large dog, about 100 lbs at 13mos.
I have a 1 yr old husky and I feed her similar foods, I have found out she hates rice for some reason but I use the broth as well , then I mix 1 cup in with her dry food twice a day , I’m going to start making her dry food as well. She is really picky
Your fur babies are adorable :-)
Ohhh, I love Jack's.. 🥰😚🇹🇹 his eyes. I LOVE animals!! 🐕🐾🐔🐐🐈
I do this every two weeks! Never thought to add all meats together🤔 thanks
I love your recipes. My little girl is always sick & very tired.
:( Is she ok?
Your dog is so cute, I love them 😍
Definitely gonna try this for my two dogs thank you!
So cute doggos !!😍🤩🤩 I like ur care for them to eat so well u take ur time n make them happy.
My dog on one of the walks found an egg and ate it
Why am I still laughing bout this?? 😂
Loooool
Your dogs makes me laugh. That's good they enjoy your meal
Even though I wouldn't eat this as a human lol, I always did appreciate your cooking videos and tips and just your own opinions on cooking. I've learned a lot. I've even made some of the stuff you've done such as the breakfast sandwich. Always worth it.
I don't know... It's basically a goulash. I bet if you threw a little garlic, paprika, salt and pepper in there it would be pretty tasty.
I would eat it, it looks better than my cooking, healthier too. 😋 🐶
Thanks sharing recipe for your dog
I am sure everything is very healthy more nutrition and calcium
I don’t feel like giving my dog processed food with so many preservatives, going for Paleo Life. Thank you for the ideas 🥰
What kibble were you feeding them?
Selena Mari I fed him royal canin and hills years ago. Now I almost only feed raw but I have orijen dry food as backup if i forget to take his food out of the freezer.
Kristin7410 I heard Orijen is messed up now. The US ruined it by making it in the states/Kentucky. The ingredients changed. This is the only way to go. No more lazy kibble.
@@JackcowWoodshop Where did you hear that?
Kristin7410 I believe it was the Chewy website. They don’t sell it anymore because of that.
Those dogs are happy!!!
Wish can.provide it for all my 16 rescued dogs but my financial struggle n my struggle with stage four lung cancer not possible for me
I'll keep you in my prayers
Thila M me too, hope you’re still alive, stay strong buddy, you got this!
Prayers for you. 💜
Yes m still alive. I will fight this battle. I have to be around for my furkids. Thank you
Thila M just checking up on you, how is everything? Cancer can’t beat you! You are strong. Good day and god bless.
Really helpful video, thanks!
I remember my dad always had the egg shells cooked in their foods but I was always concerned that the chips might get stuck in their gums etc.
Blend it up in the blender prior to feeding
Will try with my dogs. Thank you.
Thank you for sharing. How much did all that cost is it good for big dogs like a labrador retriever?
I’m so making this for my doggies, today I boiled some meat scrap, carrots and rice for them they love it. And no they eat this everyday today was just a treat for them.
Do you need to add any supplements or vitamins? I've heard that Taurine should be added to homemade pet foods, is this true?
I personally do not add any supplements. But, you can if you feel it is necessary.
Earthling1984 Thank you
I deleted my smart ass comment from earlier. 😬
In my research (which is not exhaustive) I've found taurine is more important for cat food (which I've been making for years) than dogs.
@@alyssaticino6503 Well thank you very much, I knew heard that somewhere.
@@earthling1984 So which store bought kibble do you substitute when they don't eat raw or your home cooked food?
@@MsPhillyG I usually keep a bag of Blue Buffalo Wilderness in my home just for when I am out of home made food, or, if I am traveling somewhere with my dog.
@@earthling1984 Thank you...
I am amazed I could have been giving my pups the SHELLS all along!! Makes perfect sence. One question I had was, amount to feed- I'm familiar with the portions for just dry dog food but does it change at all when its actual cooked meats?
Thanks for the video!👍🐶
Crush the egg shells to powder its better for digestion. Best wishes!
that could be a little tricky. because how can you really measure the calories per meal. what i did was start at 1/4 cup per 10 lbs. my dog was 30 lbs. so she had 3/4 cup twice a day. from there, adjust according to the dog. if its maintaining weight and looks healthy. then dont change.
Thank you to the moon and back for this!! My Coton De Tulear is aging and I want to start doing this for him. Starting tonight!! More videos please xo
You can hear your dogs crying 😂 they can’t wait for that food
yermacorn9000 I thought I heard dog whining and I looked through my window lol, it’s in the video.
I thought it was my dog at first lmao 😂
they really liked it
I always love watching these just to see your dogs destroy the food straight away 😂 hope you and the wife are doing well x
My future pups thank you 😁
Thank you for a great video!
My dog is so fussy walks away from steak one day chicken the next end up throwing it away if I cook the wrong thing she will go days without eating if I had any hair I would pull it out
Mine too, I am exasperated. I really don't know what to do. Do you add vitamins to the food you cook? If so which ones?
@@coppercassiecampbell6077 my Bella loves the stems of Romaine lettuce crazy right? I also found these treats with vitamins & minerals DREAM BONE TWIST STICKS no rawhide this dog needs to be on your lap if standing she's on your feet can't be left alone so very needy what can you do?

Well, I am down to my last few hairs.
Thanks bro for helping now I am gonna buy my dog these foods for it to be healthy
Yeah homemade is always better cuz u can control what goes in it
Dogs eat better than me lol love this video!
My dog like steamed broccoli 🥦
Excellent!!!
Glad you like it!
Just curious why you are cooking the meat when everyone else feeds raw meat
Trevor Braden “everyone else”? 99.9% of people out there do not feed raw.
@@joeltunnah sorry but your % are way off..... almost everyone that uses the raw diet does not cook the meat...... hence the name '''RAW''...... not trying to argue was just curious why you cooked yours.....
Trevor Braden, because I don’t think there’s any good evidence for it, there’s a good deal of risk, and dogs are not wolves, genetically or behaviorally.
Can I feed my 7 week pit puppy this for every meal ?
Isn't it better to feed them raw?
Can be, but small dogs especially don't always tolerate raw. Cooked is next best thing
I wish, but my dog hates raw foods. She eats like a spoiled princess half the time. I wanted to find something I could make each week
mr p, “better” how? Dogs aren’t wolves.
