My Super Bowl Sunday specialty is what i call Enchilada Nachos. It has everything you could find in, on, or around enchiladas, on nachos. Shredded beef or chicken marinated in enchilada sauce, onions, jalapenos, green chiles, black olives, beans, cheesy rice, shredded cheddar, pepper jack, and mozzarella, and optionally for putting on top more enchilada sauce, guacamole, sour cream, lettuce and tomato.
every Mexican restaurant I go to here in California calls them that. Also carne asada fries are just carne asada, California nachos are any meat. They're called California fries because they're based on the California burrito, basically a Mission burrito with French fries, which started in San Diego.
I was in Moab, UT, and got some nachos at a place called Cactus Jack's. Wasn't expecting much, but boy was I wrong. Best.Nachos.I've.Ever.Had. And I'm from Houston. Had some kind of 3-cheese blend, green chile queso, pico de Gallo, and lime crema. I think it was the lime crema that made all the difference. If you're ever in Moab, check 'em out!
The grand luxe cafe has an amazing Asian nachos! These nachos feature crispy fried wontons covered with chicken in a sweet-hot peanut sauce, topped with melted cheese, green onions, and wasabi cream.
Also in Kent Island, Maryland at Fisherman's Inn Crab Deck you can get SEAFOOD NACHOS fresh chips layered with gulf shrimp and crabmeat, finished with our house made cheese sauce and shredded cheese. Served with salsa on the side .
All these alternative variations with wontons in place of chips have me fascinated - but good grief, as someone with the cilantro soap gene, most of this B-roll was a super rough watch, lmao.
Best nachos I've ever had is at a place on Long Island called Cabo Fresh. The trick is that you have to ask for Nachos To Go. They come in a pie tin. You have them load them up with everything you put on a burrito. I always get Birria, cheese, pinto beans, pico, sour cream, and hot salsa. By the time you get home, the nachos have absorbed the consume and salsa liquids and you need a fork and a spoon to eat them. I moved Upstate and missed those nachos, so I made my own with birria I made in my InstaPot and homemade hot salsa. Mine were even better.
I went to a minor league baseball game last month near Dallas, I had BBQ Brisket nachos. Red white and blue tortilla chips w/chunks of brisket, white queso and bacon. Amazing.
Anytime I watch one of these videos. I want to make the topic of the video. I realized with the burrito one. I can't roll a burrito to save my life 😂 I already looked up nacho recipes. Especially the barbecue one. I love barbecue. Guess I'm going grocery shopping next week.
Tamarrack was actually founded in Lakeside MT with a location in Missoula and yes the nachos are delicious. Also the beer isn't bad especially the Mustache Ale named after Lanny McDonald.
2:13 I’m from West Virginia, and I was certain our state wouldn’t be in this video. I used to live in Morgantown and I’ve been to Black Bear several times. I wouldn’t say this is any more a style of nacho as I would that it’s just a slight variation like how there is a variation between how each individual person would make nachos.
Aw, barely a mention of California nachos! All up and down the state there are large Hispanic populations and lots of delicious choices! It is funny to hear about potatoes being used instead of tortilla chips, and maybe a more accurate name would be "nachos style potatoes"!
Nachos aren't nachos unless they're served on tortilla chips. Spaghetti made with anything aside from pasta isn't spaghetti. Wontons, tater tots, potato chips aren't nachos. Sheesh...
This reminds of the saddest nacho (yes singular) at a restaurant near me. Place is Mexican uh inspired I suppose. Started in the 1970s by Greek immigrants. The food is terrible yet somehow retains a dedicated following. They’ve never even attempted improving. It’s straight up school cafeteria tacos using the cheapest ingredients. Anyways the nacho is shredded cheddar and taco sauce on a tostada. Jalapeño optional. People pay money for this somehow
Damn.. now I'm hungry! Nacho fault 🤣
I approve of this dad joke!!!
I need the origin of Mozzarella Sticks.
One of the many many many perks of living alone is never having to swat a hand away from my quarter sheet of nachos.
Flip side: coming home to a hot plate of fresh nachos
If it's 7-11 Nachos that's not a SWAT that's death 😅😂

It’s not nachos if it’s fries or tator tots then it’s called “loaded fries or loaded tots”!
Or totchos
If it's fries, it's California nachos
@@VintageFenrir are Carne Asada Fries considered nachos?
@@VintageFenrirI’ve lived in California my whole sad but interesting life, I’ve never heard of asada fries be referred to as California nachos 😂

This video made me hungry...😂. It's only 9AM here in LA, but nachos for breakfast sounds about right.✌️🇲🇽

As a Texan, nachos are basically a food group around here.
Nachos = Texas salad
@@getoffmydarnlawn There's another kind of salad?
thats why texans are bigger....and fatter
@@anonymousYTviewer69 Get over it Samoan.

Shredded chicken, diced jalapenos, diced onions, pepper jack cheese, Xtra hot chile sauce all on homemade baked corn tortillas chips
The great thing about Nachos is that just about anything can be dumped in them.
Exactly!

The first time I had cheese nachos was at a parking lot carnival in 1974.

I'm sorry you got the cilantro soap gene. That sounds so awful. Cilantro is bomb.

In Atlanta, Georgia I prefer the tex-mex-Korea fusion nachos at either Takorea or Hankook Taqueria. Korean food is big here.
That sounds delicious!
I make Greek Nachos using hummus, kalamata olives, feta, and pepperoccinis
It's funny to me how the featured nachos in Nebraska, a triply landlocked state, include poke.
