What is the minimum job experience required to obtain a primary school teaching job and move over to New Zealand fully (qualified with a PGCE) from the UK?
Hi Thomas, you can start as a beginning teacher with zero job experience. Often jobs advertised will say 'beginning teachers welcome' or something similar. As long as the qualifications are accepted and a provisional licence is given by the Teaching Council, you should be fine. New Teachers start work on the bottom scale - Step 1, so $61,329 and also have to do 2 years mentoring at the school. If you want to know more feel free to email us at enquiries@workingin.com

Hello. Your content so helpful. I’m contacting you in behalf of my sister. She was an English literature teacher for grade 7 to 10 in Indonesia. At the moment she is studying master of teaching in ACU Sydney Australia. She will finish her study in a year, I like to encourage her to move to NZ. Could you help please? Thank you 😊
Hi , I am a 46 years old teacher from a third world country settled in China after my PHD. I commenced teaching from 2003 to date from university graduates and then turned by choice at high/middle/secondary school teaching here in China. I have at least 5 years of secondary school teaching experience along with TESOL, EAP, Drama IGCSE, Counseling and psychology and PGCE in the process. Do I need anything else to directly apply for PR ? as I am also in the green list tier 1.Awaiting to hear from you.I did live and work in Melbourne for over 5 years and language, culture or accent isnt an issue at all. I myself have been teaching IELTS, TOEFL, GRE, GMAT since 2003 to date.
Me and my wife are both professional teachers. We're dreaming about finding a job and move to this beautiful country with our son. We need some time to prepare documents, financies and other stuff. I hope we will make!
Greetings: I am 49 years old and from Pakistan. I have a master's degree and hold Cambridge teaching certifications; such as TKT (Teacher Knowledge Test) Module-1, TKT Module-2, TKT Module-3, Train the Trainer, and Teacher's Passport. I have only six months of experience teaching the English language. Please guide me about employment opportunities, can I secure a decent job in New Zealand, and that will lead to PR later on?
Hi, I am a teacher graduate from Kenya, with a Bachelors Degree in Education and over 6 years experience. I teach History and religious instruction, specifically Christian religious education. We have a six year old daughter and expecting another kid soon. Let me know if we can apply.
