I was about to die from an overdose in my apartment in Miami all alone after so many different drugs…I went to grab my phone and I couldn’t even see what I pressed and out of no where TH-cam started and this song played. My heart was beating out of my chest and then the room turned white and I felt at peace. My heart slowed down and I survived. Jesus Christ is real people. He saved my life.

I played this song for my grandma as she lay in her hospital bed when we knew she didn't have much time left, the family sang along to it, and even though she couldn't talk and required a machine to breathe, we knew she was happy because she was swinging her feet to the beat of the song and squeezing our hands. In 1966, as an 18-year old, living in Seattle after high school, I and a buddy were walking the streets at night, downtown near the Union Gospel Mission. We heard amazing music coming up out of a downstairs coffee shop under the mission - piano, blues, gospel, and a great voice - it was awesome. Some guys on the street said we should go down there - free coffee, great music. We did. The music was coming from Andrae Crouch, who we had never heard of, and he was rockin' the house! I wasn't a Christian but I had grown up in the church and I loved the music I was hearing. Fast forward almost 40 years - I became a staff pastor in a church. I retired from the church four months after Andrae went to heaven. Thank you, God, for 24 year old Andrae Crouch who you brought up from LA to Seattle to reach kids! "Soon and very soon," in God's time I will get to sing with him in that heavenly Gospel choir. Oh, what a day that will be!

I suffered from infertility tried for so many years to get pregnant. I always prayed to god to please bless me with a child. I was watching a mother play with her son on tik tok one day I cried and screamed to god "god please give me a child!!!!!" that same day something in me told me to take a pregnancy test... it came back positive! I couldnt believe it I was in tears and in shock!I took more pregnancy tests and they all came back positive! A week after I found out I was pregnant I found a cross necklace a few steps away from where I worked at and I then knew it was really god all along and never left my side. I now have a 11 month healthy beautiful baby boy. He's turning 1 in a few days! God is good!

Very sad day! My friend and brother in Christ Pastor Andrae Crouch died today at the age 72. The last time when he came to my house he said that his life was a blessing from God and his first song "To God Be The Glory" was a pure inspiration from our Lord Jesus Christ. I will miss his hug and his beautiful and comfort words. He indeed was a man of God. One night we were in Hollywood in a nice restaurant that he took me and my family and a man approached to our table and said "Pastor Andrae Crouch, it is an honor for me to meet you in person." Pastor Andrae was so humble and spent many minutes with this man telling him how God blessed him with his voice and gave him the passion for singing. The man left so blessed and so happy and we felt the same way. For me will be hard when I go to The Walk Of Fame and see his star and imagine that my friend is no longer here. I have the hope to see him again in heaven, I know that Jesus is holding him in his arm and now he can sing his song "Soon and very soon" we will see the King (the same song that he sang at Michael Jackson's funeral). I will always love you my brother, rest in peace. Max Lima.

I was blessed to hear Bro. Andrae live at the Methodist church in Minneapolis where Prince got married at years later. Both musical geniuses and Grammy winners. I was about to die from an overdose in my apartment in Miami all alone after so many different drugs…I went to grab my phone and I couldn’t even see what I pressed and out of no where TH-cam started and this song played. My heart was beating out of my chest and then the room turned white and I felt at peace. My heart slowed down and I survived. Jesus Christ is real people. He saved my life.

I played this song for my grandma as she lay in her hospital bed when we knew she didn't have much time left, the family sang along to it, and even though she couldn't talk and required a machine to breathe, we knew she was happy because she was swinging her feet to the beat of the song and squeezing our hands. Lastly, LORD when they call on YOU in earnest prayer to come into their hearts to be born again (repentance manifesting itself in a changed life), I pray that YOU WILL GIVE them the blessed assurance of their salvation because nothing breaks YOUR HEART, or tears YOU apart like when they cry from the trials of the devil who comes to slander, falsely accuse, steal, kill & destroy. Only by drawing nearer to YOU LORD will put them on a path to a glorious one way trip winding upward to YOU where pain is not welcome because the heart will never break anymore. In 1966, as an 18-year old, living in Seattle after high school, I and a buddy were walking the streets at night, downtown near the Union Gospel Mission. We heard amazing music coming up out of a downstairs coffee shop under the mission - piano, blues, gospel, and a great voice - it was awesome. Some guys on the street said we should go down there - free coffee, great music. We did. The music was coming from Andrae Crouch, who we had never heard of, and he was rockin' the house! I wasn't a Christian but I had grown up in the church and I loved the music I was hearing. Fast forward almost 40 years - I became a staff pastor in a church. I retired from the church four months after Andrae went to heaven. Thank you, God, for 24 year old Andrae Crouch who you brought up from LA to Seattle to reach kids! "Soon and very soon," in God's time I will get to sing with him in that heavenly Gospel choir. Oh, what a day that will be!

I suffered from infertility tried for so many years to get pregnant. I always prayed to god to please bless me with a child. I was watching a mother play with her son on tik tok one day I cried and screamed to god "god please give me a child!!!!!" that same day something in me told me to take a pregnancy test... it came back positive! I couldnt believe it I was in tears and in shock!I took more pregnancy tests and they all came back positive! A week after I found out I was pregnant I found a cross necklace a few steps away from where I worked at and I then knew it was really god all along and never left my side. I now have a 11 month healthy beautiful baby boy. He's turning 1 in a few days! God is good!

Very sad day! My friend and brother in Christ Pastor Andrae Crouch died today at the age 72. The last time when he came to my house he said that his life was a blessing from God and his first song "To God Be The Glory" was a pure inspiration from our Lord Jesus Christ. I will miss his hug and his beautiful and comfort words. He indeed was a man of God. One night we were in Hollywood in a nice restaurant that he took me and my family and a man approached to our table and said "Pastor Andrae Crouch, it is an honor for me to meet you in person." Pastor Andrae was so humble and spent many minutes with this man telling him how God blessed him with his voice and gave him the passion for singing. The man left so blessed and so happy and we felt the same way. For me will be hard when I go to The Walk Of Fame and see his star and imagine that my friend is no longer here. I have the hope to see him again in heaven, I know that Jesus is holding him in his arm and now he can sing his song "Soon and very soon" we will see the King (the same song that he sang at Michael Jackson's funeral). I will always love you my brother, rest in peace. Max Lima.

This reminds me of when I would go to church as a kid in the 90s. Truthfully i didn't appreciate it like i should have. I mean I was a kid. I'm just thankful that I know and follow Jesus. Jesus has been with me since before i was born, and even as a child growing up in church. I'm so blessed. Thank you Jesus!
