      John, I read comments before I commented....When I read yours I was like, Dude is OUT THERE.....After listening to this video I'm weeping on my keyboard because you're right...this is truly the best (BEAST) sounding amp I've ever heard...and I weep because I'll never get that! But...It's gonna be a great lifetime of trying!!!!!!

      The mesa mark v can do this and just about whatever else you want it to do but for an old fender modded in 1971 it's a death machine and WAY ahead of it's time. It's crazy how the highs seem so present but still round enough not to blow your ear drums apart. Even a lot of modern tube amps don't have that without external tone shaping effects.

      Easy to mod into a JTM45 because Marshall stole the circuits from Fender! .. I did it on a 65 Bassman (well, amp tech did it for me!)

    That beast sounds awesome, what a piece of Bogner history! Also, great playing, love the riff at 4:18! I just bought an '82 Marshall 2204 that was modded by Reinhold back when he was still in Germany. He told me it might be the first Marshall he ever modded and it was used by Mathias Dieth (U.D.O. , Sinner, Gravestone). Can't wait to play it when I get back to Germany in December! In the meantime, I'm searching the interwebs for more Bogner modded Marshalls/Fenders haha

    Even a stock Super Reverb can be evil. I get some of the heaviest sound out of my '72 Super Reverb with just a distortion pedal. There's just something about those amps. Maybe it's the tube rectification.

    I werd naarisch (thats bayrisch), Reinhold Bogner, a great amp Guru. The amp is really amazing. Very good distortion Sounds, the clean Sound is not bad but the distortion Sound, the sustain and the Feedback is over the top. Thanks my friend for the super Video. 😉👍🎸🎤🎹🎵🎼

    It sounds to me like he has used the tubes from both channels. It also sounds like the original tone stack. Since there is one input and enough knobs for two channels, I assume this has a footswitchable clean channel with tubes used, or at least partially used, as a boost for the lead channel. It sounds awesome!

      @@kimhansen6384 Totally false. The Marshall JTM45 is based on the Fender 5f6-a, AKA Bassman Tweed, in fact, are 99% equal. The components and the speakers make the difference.
      The Bassman Blackface circuit has nothing to do with a Marshall.

      @@JoseCarbia Sorry you are right, I had the 5E6 circuit in mind, with the more Tweed typical phase splitter. Looking at the right schematic made me aware that Fender actually developed the ´Marshall tonestack´, but started using another one later.

    Beautiful! Similar sounding to the Revv Generator. Smooth saturation with emphasis on the mids but not too bottom heavy. I would imagine there isn't much remaining of the original Fender super reverb in that chassis except the first bit of the preamp and perhaps the last part of the power section.

    As always I would like to see a shot of the amp settings Johan is using. Would be great to see how much volume and gain is being used. In this video it sure sounds like it is maxed out or close to it but is it? I would also like to know what the deal is with the missing preamp tube and the extra tiny transformer! Thanks for another great chunk of sonic saturation.

      I used a bunch of settings throughout the video. At places it was fully dimed.
