My name is Hilton Moore. I'm from Crowley, La(lived there for 6 years). I actually lived in Omaha, Nebraska from the age of 1 years old until 11 years old. Then, my mother sent me to live with my grandmother(she and my aunty lives at 1401 W 6th street in crowley) and I entered the 7th grade at Crowley Junior high school back in 1983 and graduated from Crowley High in 1990; where I played basketball with people like Wesley Jacobs(who I think is a coach now in Crowley), Greg Glaze, Sean Morgan, Shane Garret; who all played football under the great coach Louis Cook. I also played basketball with such players as David Swacker(who I think is a assistant coach at Notre Dame now) and other players that probably don't want to be named...lol...I played under coach Crooks(his wife Jenna Crooks was a teacher at Crowley High school when I was there from 1986-1990). Coach Cook left Crowley High school for a coaching position in Indiana in 1989 and I then played under Coach Donald Adams. I used to walk to St. Theresa Catholic Church every sunday and the priest at the time was Father Peter Weiss; who recently passed away in New Orleans. I graduated in 1990 and got a basketball scholarship to Kansas where I majored in Biology. I ran track with Wesley Jacobs and Orlando Thomas(played in NFL and was #33 for Vikings). I entered medical school in Kansas and became a doctor and practiced for many years then got a job on Wallstreet to be a "Floor Trader". I have not been back to Crowley since 1990 !!! Too busy living life and traveling the world
Hi Hilton. This is Sean’s baby sister Miriam & I definitely remember seeing you play basketball at “The Dome” across the street from my parents home, as well as remember your sister. I’m currently residing in northern Georgia. I’m glad to see you’re doing wonderful & hope I caught you in great spirits.

I can only imagine seeing that 'little girl's face' because the last time I saw you, you were literally playing basketball with me at the basketball park(The Dome). From Google maps it seems that basketball park is now occupied by a newly built house. I remember you coming across the street when you saw me at the park and you would shoot hoops with me; then your brother Shawn would play with me and your sister's boyfriend, Scott or Scotty, would play every now and then. My grandmother has passed away my aunty has a 30 year old son who probably has his own child by now. I got away from Crowley long ago...My sister has 3 kids and I think she still lives in crowley. It's so nice to hear from you again and I'm glad you are in Georgia !!! Tell Shawn that I said hello and tell your mother that I said hello as well !!! Sean is in Georgia as well & has two children. My sister and Scotty are married with children & grandchildren. You are correct whenever you state that The Dome is no longer there & it’s definitely been replaced by a home built on the same site. My bad for being a pesky little kid when all you were trying to do was play basketball…..LOL. I would imagine that Crowley has changed in dramatic fashion since those early days that I used to live there and went to school with your brother and other school mates such as David Martin(he played football with your brother), Wesley Jacobs, Greg Glaze(he played basketball with me during high school). So, let me tell you a short story of what has happened to my life. First, I lived with my grandmother and autie in crowley for 6 years. Got basketball scholarship and moved to Kansas. Went to medical school and became a Surgeon(Cardiothoracic Surgeon). Moved to Hawaii where my home is located. I Traveled to 13 countries for operations that I performed and did that for over 20 years. Retired as a Surgeon and because of my mathematical abilities was asked by a good friend of mine, on Wall Street in New York, to work on a project. I wound up becoming a Wall Street trader for nearly 10 years; while having my office in my home in Hawaii. A couple of years ago I left Wall Street and started trading the financial markets on my own while consulting with other top surgeons in Hawaii. My wife and I are on vacation for 3 months to Copenhagen, Denmark,... Turku, Finland and then Italy. We'll be flying back home to Hawaii in the next 40 days. Life is good 😁

I got an associate degree in Business Office Technology and am currently working in the medical field myself. I have yet to travel the world, but am looking to do that near my retirement years, God willing. It’s been a minute since I’ve been home but our hometown has changed in both good and not so good ways. I usually go home for the holidays or special occasions, which is few and far between. But I will definitely be sure to let Sean know that I got in touch with you. He’ll definitely be glad to hear that you are doing well. Take care and again, it’s great to hear from you.
