Assalamualeykum , I really appreciate you for the great work. My love for the imam Ali and the the prophet household is limitless and always second to non.
I have such respect for brother Nakshwani. But these lectures truly make me sad. because clerics are still raised and taught in the way they are - there are such persuasive ways to explain these things and they seem to miss the mark almost every time. This will turn people away and it is such a shame.
The Imam using metaphor is being taken WAY too literal by some people, in order to justify false indignation. In Sermon 69, Imam Ali (AS) compares life to a snake. Its touch is soft, but its poison is lethal. So, is Imam Ali, anti-life? Does he hate life and all that is in it, because he compares it to a snake? If Shakespeare was to say this, the VAST majority of you would be falling over yourselves to scream "genius". A lot of you women and feminist men need to check yourselves a little. How brittle can you be? Men, women, life, enemies, friends, etc. ALL are warned about by Imam Ali in Nahjul Balagha. You can either be offended, and close your eyes to its lesson, OR, you can open your eyes and try to understand the reasoning behind the Imam's intent.
