Hi professor I couldn't find a video about *sintering for ceramic materials* in the channel .I'm trying to find an answer for the question, which is _Why do ceramic materials need to be sintered?_
Ceramics melt at much too high of a temperature to be cast into a net shape like we do with metals. Yes, we can do it with some glasses, but most ceramics... It would require temperatures and mold materials that would not be compatible. Therefore, we have to start with ceramic particles and find a way to form the shape of interest and then sinter those particles together to remove the porosity so that the final product is strong and defect free, hence the need for sintering.
