This is one of the best dramas I've seen👍. The actors, the story, the music and the beautiful costumes were absolutely great. Lots of colors. Every detail and angle was well thought out. The chemistry between the main characters was incredible🥰. I hope to see them together again in the drama. Even the supporting characters were great. The episodes were better and better. Tension until the end. The emotions were so real that I often cried, but I also laughed a lot. I just don't get the end. I'm glad I saw an alternative ending. Otherwise, I would think ... an open end and hurray for the second season. It's worth watching again for this drama. And definitely not just once. I hope the end will be upload too.

Here prince xicheng loved her more than yao as he loved her unconditionally even when he saw her with other man he loved her, when she loved other man at that time also he quietly loved her, every time he loved her without caring for him self❤.I really feel bad that he was not even able to express his love❤so sad for him and mu. Well this story touched my heart. They were really true lovers. Does these kind of people exist in this real world. Do they ever consider each other that much. According to my experience, whatever stories I have read, I have seen them happening in the society.
I literally cried for half an hour. My mind doesn't bear this type of sad endings. I loved those characters. I still need 2-3 days to get out of this emotional state.
Their acting wasn't real enough for me to cry as I have watched dramas like fake princedd where the second female lead dies in last episode amd so I concluded anything can haapen in cdramas ...however dissappointing they will be we have to accept it
I've been watching historical/costume drama a lot, and I know most of them had tragic or painful end so I am not fully hurt but i had never anticipated that in this drama since it's full of laughter and hope that's why it makes me sad. I was so happy in their journey since the beginning and stumbled a major setback in the end. 😭 Truly, love will conquer even death. I will miss this drama and the casts a lot. 🥰❤️

It is the first historical drama that I saw and really loved it ...The actors have so good acting skills and I also love the intro song 🥺 ..This drama made me laugh so hard, then cry, then it let me see the pure love between soulmates, brothers and sisters 💜 It was one of the best drama's that I have watched so far... After watching this a second time, I now realize that Xue Yao and Chuyue are characters that the storyteller in episode 1 made up to give himself (Guan Shan) and his wife (Wan wan) an alternate ending. Remember that it starts with him telling the kids a story about a princess and ends with him finishing the story. All the characters, from the Emporer to Xingchen, are just people he randomly met at the market and wove into the story. He tells her at the end when they're at the cliff that he hopes he and his wife can live on in the stories forever. He continues the story with Xue Yao and Chuyue walking to the cliff (that's why their clothes changed--it's not him and his wife going to the cliff) but he changes his mind and gives them a happy ending (extra episode). We don't know what happens to him and Wan Wan though--whether their life continues with her never waking up and he is alone forever, or they jump from the cliff. Either way, it's too too devastatingly sad :( and I'm going to have a hard time getting over this

An interesting love story. The ending of the love story is sad but beautiful. How the general's life going on while his lovely wife is never awake. His decision getting off the cliff is sad and heartbroken. They just have a day together after many troubles, misunderstanding. I feel hurt. Actor and actress are cute. They play and describe their thoughts on face well.
Overall drama was so good❤️ prince character is so sweet he always stand with her adoptive sister although he loved her but always show support in every situation ☺️
Great story by the writers. The beginning is the end of their characters' life histories. I like the ending... Beautiful, like several of Zheng Yecheng's historical drama, including An Oriental Odyssey & Love of a Thousand Years.
To those who don't know, this series has ep 36 like an alternate ending. The female lead woke up there. Though the plot didn't become consistent because of its additional ep, it was happier and will save us from sadness. Yecheng is really good. I came here after I watched love a thousand years and was reluctant to start this series because I got too attached with his immortal character there, but his acting is really convincing and also his looks here is different. Though he had greater chemistry with Zhao Lusi, I'm glad I was able to enjoy this drama because of him.
This movie, if related to real life is very great, cos he has full of loyalty. whatever happened to his wife but he still being with till rest of his life.

I beg the screenwriters to stop playing with out hearts so badly, I can't take it when seeing the general shed tears, please give us at least another 3, 4 epsiodes of post marriage pure happiness to satisfy us because the special epsiode was not enough! Also, Zheng YeCheng is so handsome and his acting skills are out of this world, he completely took me into the story! I've loved him ever since watching him in Love 020 and can't wait to see his future dramas!

An interesting love story. The ending of the love story is sad but beautiful. How the general's life going on while his lovely wife is never awake. His decision getting off the cliff is sad and heartbroken. They just have a day together after many troubles, misunderstanding. I feel hurt.
Actor and actress are cute. They play and describe their thoughts on face well.

Great story by the writers. The beginning is the end of their characters' life histories. I like the ending... Beautiful, like several of Zheng Yecheng's historical drama, including An Oriental Odyssey & Love of a Thousand Years.

To those who don't know, this series has ep 36 like an alternate ending. The female lead woke up there. Though the plot didn't become consistent because of its additional ep, it was happier and will save us from sadness.
Yecheng is really good. I came here after I watched love a thousand years and was reluctant to start this series because I got too attached with his immortal character there, but his acting is really convincing and also his looks here is different. Though he had greater chemistry with Zhao Lusi, I'm glad I was able to enjoy this drama because of him.
