Who’s Eddie?
@@jordancoleman7092 Really? Eddie Van Halen.
Big insult to rock music everywhere!!!
I love this song. Under the joy and party atmosphere there is an undercurrent of sadness. The song tells us that life really is short. I think of Phil Lynnott, Keith Moon, Jimi Hendrix, Bon Scott, Randy Rhoads, John Bonham, Janis Joplin and of course EVH when I hear this song.
this isone of the best videos ever
Your so right ..just listening to the guitar instrumental makes me cry
Excellent, very intuitive observation. Not many catch that.
Michael’s bass playing is insane and i love that this is raw off the board, no bull 💩
This is the Van Halen I will always remember, best damn live party band ever !
Just ask Spicoli. He saved Brooke Shields from drowning and spent all the reward money hiring Van Halen to play his birthday party. They Blew The Roof Off The Dump, Most Righteous Party Ever!!!

Saw them twice 1980, 81. Great live band!
the members of Van Halen were true "rock stars." It's sad that these times aren't coming back anytime soon. That said, I'm thankfully to have been around during their heyday. The music was first class. 🤘
That's what I miss about the 80's so much --- the guys in Van Halen seemed to relish being rock stars --- not ashamed of it like Kurt Cobain and others who followed
Why can’t perfection just stay the same and never change. We all get older and things fall apart.
R.I.P. Eddie Van Halen! Thanks for all the great tunes and being a part of my life as i grew up listening to all that great music.
When your Official video is from a concert gig, that tells how solid the band musicality that time..
David Lee Roth is one of the greatest frontmen of all time. Jesus Christ, what a talent. What a talent this band was, for that matter.
The man sure knew how to put on a show as did the whole band.
@Dog Breath -- Well, Kasatka DID say the "one of the greatest frontmen" - you don't have to write songs to be a frontman...
He was great when he was sober
This was perfect editing of the original soundtrack with this concert performance. Incredible...
I was 20 when this album was released. The background music and theme songs of the summer of '79 for me. My God, they were good! Rest in peace EVH and thank you for all the joy and wonderful music. He was truly the Dutch Master!
I hear you bro can never replace those times but at least we got to live them!
RIP EDDIE. MY HEART HURTS, I HOPE YOU'RE IN HEAVEN WITH THAT HOT TEACHER
Rest In Peace to this legend of a guitarist...
Nothing to beat it.. So happy I saw them in absolute glory 1981-84 .. I remember seeing this clip on Nightflight when cable Tv was a new phenom in small town America ah yes, that Summer of '79..
Kids today have no idea how raw and how much fun concerts were back then.
Yeah, bc no concerts like that exist anymore
you gotta love it. Eddie walks in looking exactly like the 70s-80s era rock god that he was.
Saw van Halen 3 times. Kick ass performance and musicians. Kick ass song.
I love playing this in my soft top JEEP Wrangler, top down, tunes up, no worries!

Thank you for the joy I got from a truly abusive father. When things got bad I just had to put my headphones on and you would take me away. Thank you Eddie
I so totally agree! Music speaks to my spirit, my soul! I could not live without music! 😊💖
@James Smith Hello! How are you? I am doing fine! Is this really you? What's up?😊
@James I'm good, how are you?
EVH could just jam...holy crap...so good
I am grateful that I lived my prime during Eddie Van Halen's time. As a drummer I learned a lot from Alex and the boys. RIP Eddie.
Arguably, one of the top 10 greatest rock and roll songs of all time.
🤣😂🤣😂🤣
YES top 10 for sure !!!! They are higher than that .. Maybe better than Guns and Def
RIP, Eddie! Such a legend will never be forgotten.
I don’t know why but 2:44 makes me reminisce on all of the good times. Makes me tear up a little.
It hurts my heart, literally, to know Eddie has been taken from us. RIP, Eddie.
Eddie's gum catch is seriously underrated.
Whether or not u love or hate DLR, u gotta admit he has one hell of a stage presence
Yeah Diamond Dave, the most energetic frontman of the 80's
