@@Ghoulish_Gaming it’s not so much about the platform, but more about the information. What happens when they decide to go for YT, or any Meta platform? Having physical mediums of useful information is what’s important. I could care less about TikTok in all honesty, but having information taken away, by any political entity (left or right), is wrong and bars people from knowledge they could use to help themselves, whether that be intellectually, politically, socially, or in a straight up survival scenario.

The rediculous thing is that orwells books, somehow have been reinterpreted by the right to mean the oposite of what they do.
Sure, most dont read them, just talk about them as if they did, but there is undoubtedly some new propaganda problems we face today, and my guess is that this js because today secrets are not hidden by not revealing them, but rather by overwhelming everyone with too much information, so much so that its hard to sort what is fact and what is fiction, and this forces people to become even more subjective then before.
And then the relative comfort of many places means some people dont even have to face material reality because one way or the other their views dont feel like they effect anything, and so they might as well feel like they are right.
As with any brainwashing, a bombardment of information daily is necessary, or else the spell will fade and people will realise, and with the internet, and the addictjve nature of social media, people are hooked to their phones not because they are forced to by the end of a gun, but because they are fkrced to by their own biology, which can make them think that they are the ones making the choice to consume the propaganda that shapes them through fear and hate.
      Thats just my guess anyway.
But every washed brain can be made dirthy again- we just have to find the way and the method of pervention as well.
Orwell and others gave us a blueprint, now we have to keep upgrading it- we dont need single geniouses, we need many people willing to have at least one good idea.
      Have a nice day

I don't know about the bannings but physical books also can be aestheticaly pleasing for me to look at+fill the room(the cover sells too) and by reading comments, F.451 and 1984 were actually targets im going to buy soon so excited to read everyone experience bout' them:0

The only reason I’d start buying e-books instead of physical books is because I ran out of space in my house lol. I just prefer physical copies

I often only buy physical books if I particularly liked the ebook version, I buy ebooks as they're cheaper and easier to read (for me)

Okay, but i thought you were talking about the pages physically burning in a fire, or something happening to your physical book. That's totally logical as well.

True. But you don’t have to worry about that in the USA at the moment. They only ban books like that in middle and elementary schools (aka for kids cause they won’t understand them) you can always find them at a public library or store
