I have to say, I'm really hating the MGS1 VR Missions. This mission here is an example of why. Maybe part of the problems is that I'm stuck with god awful d pad controls on the mediocre master collection. I loved the VR Missions in MGS2, but I haven't enjoyed a single moment of this one. I'm forced to slog through 300 of these for the platinum.
The control isn't the best, but I struggled more in MGS2, which seems like they repeated missions just to have a greater number. But I would say leave the game alone if it's just to get a trophy, if the game isn't cool, it's not worth spending time on it, imo.
Finally completed all 300 vr missions and got that sweet trophy... thanks for the guide man, super helpful

when walking across loud floors, rapidly tap r1 repeatedly to conceal your footsteps.

There’s no difference. Special missions is just what vr missions is called in the European version.

You can pause the game after each mission to watch a video, instead of memorizing everything at once
