@SuzyQBudgets thank you hun x it really mean alot to know that I'm not the only one, my eldest 13 had adha and autism, my daughter 9 has autism and then there is kellen ( the force of nature) has autism and we are still waiting for an assessment for adhd, he meets all the criteria but it's been over 9 months since they said they were going to assess him x x 💙 thank you 🫂
Balancing family life when you have neuro diverse members is not easy, but you are not alone. My daughter will be 17 this month she has diagnosed anxiety issues and has ADHD/Autistic tendencies, but is undiagnosed for those, she is on the waiting list for assessment. My son is 14 and is diagnosed ADHD/Autistic he has some hard days when out of routine but because home is his "safe space" he soon settles into a new routine for himself. He finds being out of the house a lot more distressing and so struggles more when at school. I am also a full time carer for my husband and have been for nearly 10 years now. It's not easy, and some days are extremely hard, but I just take one day at a time and always keep hope that if it's a bad day today then tomorrow will be better ❤
@tinaspencer3509 it really mean alot that people know how hard it can be, it the violence from the little one that's the hardest to deal with as he take it out on jasmine. My mam had the 2 little one last night and rang me coz kellen had pocked jasmine with a pen and had a go at me like I can control his action. I keep telling them that he is impulsive and doesn't realise what he has done until after the fact, I know it isn't fare on the other kids and that's why I'm trying for restbite to give them abit of a break. The amount of people that say to me "I don't know how you coupe" is unreal but as you know, we do and we always will coz they are our babies 🫂 thank you for all your support that you give me hun x and congratulations on winning the housewife budget giveaway 💖
@LyndsaysBudget Thank you, I was so surprised to win. My son used to be violent towards me, as strange as it sounds, I was so thankful that it was me and not anyone else. He would flip tables and chairs at school, though, if he lost control. I found other parents the hardest to deal with as they were so judgmental and blamed me for his behaviour, but it was nothing I had done. He was struggling to understand all that was happening with his dad, who was so unwell and in and out of the hospital, as well as understanding his own emotions. Thankfully, I had some great support through the school, and they were the ones who helped me get his diagnosis and were putting things in place to help even before we had it or his EHCP. Thankfully, my parents were also very supportive. My mum had been a childminder previously and was very understanding of his issues and very supportive as was my dad. And just in case no one has told you today... You are a great mum, and you are doing a fantastic job 🥰❤️
@tinaspencer3509 aww thank you hun x 😘 💕 we have ehcps for both boys and my eldest goes to a autism academy, which is great for him, I'm trying to get my youngest in the same school as is currently school and I agree that mainstream are not equipped to deal with him and give him the support he needs, he meets all the criteria and was rejected purely on his age (even though they don't go on age when it comes to learning, we are currently appealing and fingers crossed will be successful x you are also a great mom and a absolutely fantastic support x I really appreciate every comment you make and your continued support 🥰 x x
