Now that he knows that a draw is possible in 4-player chess, if he gets threatened to be eliminated first, he can try to draw.

I see it! When the girl moved her rook, she pinned Agad's king without putting him in check, so he had no move, and because they were playing teams, drawing against one meant the whole game was a draw. Very interesting.
