I do wonder, since the Honda Grom has effectively monopolised its section of the market (the 'Mini-bike', 'Modern-day-monkey-bike', whatever category you want to call it), is there a potential opportunity for Lexmoto to bring in their own, good-value version or equivalent? I mean, new, the Grom costs £2969 at this point, and given that full sized 125cc Lexmoto commuter bikes like the Assault cost less than half that, I'd imagine a mini-bike from these guys would cost less than a grand. Kawasaki Europe seem in no great hurry to import the Z125 Pro, so isn't it about time the Grom had some competition? (For clarification, I love the Grom; this is just from a business perspective for Lexmoto.)
CASH ME OUTSIDE HOW BOUT DAT TO be honest I actually love the assault too! My dad just completed his CBT and he got a Lexmoto Scooter and believe it or not I rode it too! Luckily not much cops in my area since I’m underage but my dad uses it mostly
Got my Lexmoto Assault yesterday and absolutely love it I had the Black colour looks means and proper badboi, thanks for all the replays really helped me to make my decision one lexmoto assault happy customer :) ps love the off road style it has
Thank you! Was debating between bikes and hearing an english lad talk about how amazing this bike is. Made me want one even more. Buying one in the next few days :D Props to him.
I was just wondering why there hasn't been an update on your channel for this bike??? as this was way back in 2016, I'm saving up to get the assault, but the prices have gone through the roof for someone with a limited budget, now 2k I believe. It would be good to see and hear what's different about the current model and where has the money gone to justify the increase 🤔.
As much as i like the look of the Lexmoto range, my ZSF has had a long list of issues in the 6months from new i have owned it. I just hope they don't all come with the same issues. Great video
+David T Hi, Sorry to hear about the issues that you've experienced. If you're getting a host of issues let us know and we can do something about it. Have your dealer put together a summary of the issues and get them to escalate it to their account manager.
Had this bike since November. So faults at all. Had a new chain already but that's all. Bike does 60mph once run in with no other touches. Definitely a must have!
would the January 2017 A4 compliance regulations effect people buying models that don't meet the regulations or just the seller? eg if this bike does not meet the regulations will I have to make changes to it after 2017 or will you just not be able to sell it after 2017?
I really like the Assault. Are there any plans to bring in the red colour, which I have seen on the Tayo website (and with the matching front red mud guard which looks even better)? I think the red really suits this bike. Great videos, which really show how great your bikes are.
I'm planning to buy Lexmoto Isca this month but shame - except for two short videos there is no review on Isca I can find on YT. I'm starting to think no one wants it except for me
Hi Pretty in Black, We do have a Ride out video in the following link: th-cam.com/video/wd9gEdVzqag/w-d-xo.html There are a few Lexmoto owners groups on Facebook that you should be able to join where owners can let you know about the bike. Hope this helps!
These bike are bullet proof got taken out by a van broke my ribs dislocated my shoulder bike not a scratch ... then some little shit nicked ragged it for 2 months every panel needed replacing even fuel tank frame and engine still sweet so had it changed from blue to black body work can't wait till get back on the road !
yh mine has it too. already fitted it and have been using it. its great. not sure about my petrol cap tho. filled up 2 times and has leaked both times when on side stand. would like to think its meant to be sealed
+Adam Brown Hi Adam. Sorry to hear that you are having a problem with petrol cap, I would recommend you take it to your dealer for them to have a look at. They should be able to sort it out for you.
HI, hopefully going to view one of these this week which will be mainly used as an eco-transport choice and some green laning. One question though is where is the choke located? I've viewed all the pictures on your site and can't seem to locate it near any of the controls, I assume it is the standard lever type that is on most other bikes?
Yes it's a bit of a bizarre placement but exists on quite a few models. Please contact your dealer regarding a manual or let us know an email address we can forward you a copy.
Just put a deposit down for one, hopefully I will be able to get it within 2 weeks since the dealer is going away for a bit and still needs to order the bike in yet lol.
Awesome, my bike has been delivered and now it just needs to be registered then when I have insurance I'm good to go. Also does the bike in this video have any upgraded sprockets like a 17tooth? I'm watching another vid atm and in 5th his bike is at 9k rpm at 55mph. Just wondering if I would need to get one as I will be on the carriageway about 30% of the time and would like to get around 60 without too much strain on the engine lol.
are they just stickers/decals on the side panels? Bike looks really nice and im considering getting one but im gonna want to make it my own a bit, and the lexmoto logo is gonna clash with whats in my head haha
+HeadbangerFacePalm They are stickers and with a reasonable amount of time, effort and a lot of patience you should be able to remove them with out damaging the paint work.
Provided you have a full license you can use it on the motorway, the top speed is about 65mph so you may find that a lot of the traffic is going a little faster than you.
The Lextek team trying to make sure anything they can find is from a consistent supplier at the correct price. It is taking a while but we do hope to have something soon.
I've been waiting for this video for some time now, went and see my local dealer a few weeks back and should be going back there soon to be picking myself one of these up. I have one question, how does the exhaust/downpipe fair? I've noticed the previous models suffer from a few bad downpipes(if left in rain ect which mine wont) - Thanks buddy!
+MrCrytek91 To be completely upfront and honest they are made from Mild steel. It's something that does need a bit of protection on it to stop it corroding but this is the same for most bikes. If you get something like ACF-50 on there it will look after it a treat.
Well in theory the engine is the same as the Venom so it would just be a matter of making sure the rest of it lines up. The downside is that all of the first order of Venom downpipes sold out after a couple of weeks so we'll have to wait a little while to be sure. Hopefully they can test earlier.
Hi. I got this bike a few months ago n its been used non stop for work, rides, shopping etc. Im 5:9 n i find it really comfy to be on, going out on rides all day is no problem. Really love my bike and loved the price. But there is just one down side the exhaust is crap and a whole welded system. it is not very loud. That is the only thing i would change :) Just thought i would give my thoughts.
+Jason Andrews Thanks for the feedback. We are working on an after market exhaust exhaust for the Assault Hopefully we should have it for the summer :)
+Lexmoto UK hi I've planned out a twin exit exhaust system for the assault (like the Honda varadero) the pipes come up to the back and sit underneath the rear luggage rack handles. I was wondering if your aftermarket exhaust is anything like that or are you keeping the same layout cheers, chris
Hi just wondering if you could advise me on getting the correct colour for my assault forks, some how by a brick its scratchd my right fork, and took the paint off, thanks
Has this bike got the ability to carry a pillion I am not small and our combined weight of around 25 stone ( me and wife ). I need a light bike to man handle into my M.P.V. then use it in Europe plus use for commuting hear.
Most 125cc are certified to two 75kg riders. That works out to a combined 23.5stone max permissible capacity. There's nothing to suggest that it would struggle but as the manufacturer, we can only suggest up to the max certified weight. Apologies
Pretty Straight forward. Take off the seat then the right lower panel. If you're unsure however then we'd advise you contact your dealer for assistance.
hi , I'm thinking about getting the adrenaline , but i now thinking of the assault, I'm 5 foot 6 , and ill want to do some green laning. Why is this bike so mush cheaper
purchased an assault. 100% beast and so happy. but 2 questions i have. 1 being the fuel cap should it sit flush on the tank or slightly raised? and 2 can i put a lextek alarm kit with electric start on it. thanks
+Michael Peel +Adam Brown Unfortunately not all bikes (even if they are the same model) will have the adapter fitted. It would be something that you have to find on the bike itself. If it is not there the alarm can still be hardwired into the loom.
+Michael Peel We are always trying to improve on our range and are currently speaking with the factories regarding the alarms and the connector, so hopefully we can address both of these issues.
My lad has a 20 plate assault, he rides it on trips of around 5 to 6 hours visiting friends and then the same back, it has an alarm / immobiliser fitted, apart from a new solenoid and a clutch case gasket it’s never missed a beat. Just keep on top of routine maintenance and check valve clearance every few thousand miles, my lads has had to have his adjusted at least once a year for the exhaust valve. You’ll know if it’s playing up the bike becomes a bugger to start!
Hi guys have just had my first service on my assault and the bike feels slightly different the ravs seems to go into the 7 8 on the rev counter could this be what happens
It shouldn't really change the revs for the first service. If you are in any doubt contact your dealer and ask them to have a look at the bike for you.
How is this bike for someone 6"1'? I did my CBT on an uncomfortably tiny ybr125. The seat height for this bike is the same as the ybr, though what about seating position, peg position?
We do have a staff member here who is 6'2 and they seem to get on fine with the Assault. The best advice we could give would be to see if you can find a dealer who has one so that you can try one for comfort.
has this got a under seat storage and how big is it? will it fit locks and stuff like that also can u do another video looking at the bikes features more in detail
I'll see if I can get round to it but it would be unlikely that it would be soon. If you wanted to get a closer look then it would be best to check out your local dealer. www.lexmoto.co.uk/dealers.php
please can you do a first ride on the zsx r 125. I'm stuck on which bike to get either want the venom se 125, zsx f 125 , zsx r 125. in your view which is the best bike of them 3 ( venom se 125 , zsx r 125, zsx f 125 )
+Matthew Mcgechie We're probably not I'm afraid. The XTRS is unfortunately not being continued into Euro4 so will be discontinued at the end of this year.
The Lextek team are trying to source everything that is needed for the sports exhausts. Sadly we don't yet have a timescale to say when they will be available.
+Daz Willott The seat height on the Assault isn't particularly high, so you shouldn't have a problem and the bike isn't very heavy. If you are unsure I would recommend seeing if your local dealer has one that you can have a look at.
Hey Lexmoto, I'm looking to grab myself this bike as my first 125 after having my Echo 50! my local dealership are ordering it in for me soon so as i can't sit on it I'm wondering if someone of 5'3ish would be able to ride this comfortably?
The Assault is not that high a seat so you should be OK but it is worth trying one out for size before hand. Hope the size is ok for you as it is a cracking bike!!
+Lexmoto UK I ended up buying the Assult in black last week, picking it up next Thursday, seemed fine when I sat on it in terms on height, just not looking too forward to breaking in the engine as I was told to try and not go above 5000rpm
+Michael Peel It's not that I was worried about, its the fact its literalĺy 2 mins at 40 and then the rest at 60+ so didn't know if it liked cruising..
The Assault holds 14.5 litres and the Adrenaline holds 10.6 litres. MPG depends on your riding style and route but we have had reports of the Assault getting around 85mpg on dual carriageway.
:) OK cool sound. Great thank for your reply it's just to help. Me decide witch out of the 2 would be best for me. And the. Best one mpg and IV been told the adrenaline can do 120miles on a tank of fuel
We are prepared for the Euro 4 regulations and will be unveiling the 2017 line up soon. Some existing models will sadly fall and won't be following us into the new year but others have been confirmed for 2017 and we will also have new models to release.
As of January 2017 all bikes 125cc and over will have to meet new rules regarding emissions and brakes in the whole of Europe . It is called the A4 COMPLIANCE REGS , as a result a lot of old models such as Suzuki's Inazuma will be discontinued because of emission issues .But rest assured new models will take their place.
i never use 1st gear for setting off it seem pointless to me and the top speed is good for a 125 but its the fact that it only does 60mph at 8000rpm which isn't good for the bike , plus you use more fuel at higher revs
You can get your user manual by creating an account at mylexmoto.co.uk and adding your bike to the account. It will then give access to downloads like your user manual etc. Less hard copies less trees being cut down =)
How much would I have to earn a year to buy one of these on finance and pay £65 a month? Ideally I'd like to buy one to be able to get jobs further than 3 miles away as I don't want to rely on my dad to drive me to and from work.
+MoistGoat We don't offer finance ourselves I am afraid, you would need to speak to one of our dealers who offers finance, they would be able to give you a some ideas of figures.
Lexmoto UK Ah thanks. I wanted a Yamaha 125 YBR until I saw this. 125cc bikes don't need to be so pricey though. Most likely will get this for my first bike!
Lexmoto UK Yeah it looks great too. When I did my CBT I was slightly put off by the thin tires. Assault looks like it'd have better grip over those any day.
Hi KK, sorry to hear that you're anxious about getting back onto two wheels. Have you thought about taking it somewhere quiet and practising without the pressure of traffic, baby steps may be the best approach?
+stefan brown We are always working to improve the quality of the range. The tyres fitted to the bikes are standard and, admittedly, you can get better but this would increase the overall cost of the bikes. You can always upgrade the tyres easily enough.
I do wonder, since the Honda Grom has effectively monopolised its section of the market (the 'Mini-bike', 'Modern-day-monkey-bike', whatever category you want to call it), is there a potential opportunity for Lexmoto to bring in their own, good-value version or equivalent? @Lexmotouk You convinced me, i went and brought the assault in blue yesterday, very much looking forward to taking it out on the road.
Hi Will! Thank you for choosing Lexmoto! Send us photos on Instagram if you would like us to add them to our story!

+Michael Peel correct. Just a few things to list, faulty carburetor, broken clutch plate, sticky throttle, headstock bearings
+David T Chinese bikes are normally not good. Just stick to your popular brand like Honda and yamaha. May cost more but worth it in the long run
+ryan@@@pennyboards ye well last week i ordered the mt125. Going to pass it on in summer when i do my DAS

The new regulations won't effect you directly, they are directed more at the manufacturer / Importer than anyone else really.
This moto is know as Kiden in China, and in México is selled as Vento Crossover
Looking forward to getting my brand new assault on the 1st March

Is there any aftermarket exhausts for this bike ?
We're asking the guys at Lextek to get this one sorted out and we should hopefully see something within a few months.
Lexmoto UK just got it today and I love it already fantastic and well built thumbs up thanks
Glad to hear you are enjoying the bike Tyler, hope you have fun with it.
I upgraded from my lexmoto street to a rieju RS3 NKD. Best decision I ever made.

Hi Adam.
Sorry to hear that you are having a problem with petrol cap, I would recommend you take it to your dealer for them to have a look at. They should be able to sort it out for you.
I haven't experienced it on our model but will take a look when back in the office on Monday.
Just tried it several times without any issue. Maybe get your dealer to take a look for a second opinion.
Why is the Lexmoto assault not available on the website ?
Hi. The Assault has now been discontinued.
HI, hopefully going to view one of these this week which will be mainly used as an eco-transport choice and some green laning. One question though is where is the choke located? I've viewed all the pictures on your site and can't seem to locate it near any of the controls, I assume it is the standard lever type that is on most other bikes?
Never mind I've found it on the side of the carb, bit bizarre lol never seen a manual choke there before.

Hi I want to buy a 125cc bike when I will be 17; do you reckon this can be the first bike I can buy, right after the CBT and other tests?
nice to see bikes with carbs and no fuel injection .. so much easier to diagnose and fix.. brings back my early 20's lol
Good old carbs !
+Michael Peel Sometimes factory settings do require a tweak here and there to improve the performance.
Owned the bike for a few weeks now and it's a great bike for the price, just really want Lextek to do an exhaust system for it :( still waiting lol.
The Lextek team trying to make sure anything they can find is from a consistent supplier at the correct price. It is taking a while but we do hope to have something soon.
Lexmoto UK Awesome, thanks.
No Problem.
hi, i have this bike and i love it.. but do you think it would be ok for me to put road tyres on it? dont really like the knobblies
I think that would be fine, the bike will still ride well and you might find the ride just that bit smoother.
If you’re not going green laning just fit street tyres, you will find them better than the knobblys on the road
Hi does anyone no how to derestrict this bike thanks
I've been waiting for this video for some time now, went and see my local dealer a few weeks back and should be going back there soon to be picking myself one of these up. Whats it like on long distance
Is it possible to take the mudguard off of the front of this bike? I feel like it would personally look a lot nicer without it.
Yes you could take the mudguard off, it would be fairly easy to do.

love lexmoto great bikes
+ stephen lawlor Thanks, hope you enjoy your bike when you get it.
Is this suitable for commuting to work and college in quite a busy city
+DuBz Reaper (DuBz Blurr) The Assault is an excellent commuter bike, it is comfortable and very easy to handle.
please can you do a first ride on the zsx r 125.
I'm stuck on which bike to get either want the venom se 125, zsx f 125 , zsx r 125.
in your view which is the best bike of them 3 ( venom se 125 , zsx r 125, zsx f 125 )
+Michael Peel I'd agree with that assessment. The zsx-F if you want the fairing more than the USD front suspension.
+mick forte The Video should be up this week.
+Lexmoto UK awesome can't wait to see the video, hopefully that will help my choice 👍
Awesome stuff!
Can you do a first ride of the xtr s?
+Matthew Mcgechie We're probably not I'm afraid. The XTRS is unfortunately not being continued into Euro4 so will be discontinued at the end of this year.
+Lexmoto UK Is the ZSF staying for the euro 4 this year?
Yes it should be
Can I get custom exhaust for my Lexmoto assault?
That's the answer I was looking for. Thanks!
The Lextek team are trying to source everything that is needed for the sports exhausts. Sadly we don't yet have a timescale to say when they will be available.
Hi am looking at getting this bike, the only thing is am only 5'6, would i be able to get on and of it ok, and is this bike light, thanks
+Daz Willott The seat height on the Assault isn't particularly high, so you shouldn't have a problem and the bike isn't very heavy. If you are unsure I would recommend seeing if your local dealer has one that you can have a look at.
+Lexmoto UK am going to look today, can i ask wich is the popular colour and do you have a favourite colour black or blue
I think the Blue is best. It is also the most popular :)
my local dealer is getting them in next week so all good, did you say you got up to a top speed on 60mph ?? thanks for the replies btw :)
60 should be about the top speed although there are so many things that can affect speed.
+Lexmoto UK I do hope it is the right height! looks amazing
Let us know how you get on :)
+Lexmoto UK I ended up buying the Assult in black last week, picking it up next Thursday, seemed fine when I sat on it in terms on height, just not looking too forward to breaking in the engine as I was told to try and not go above 5000rpm
debating between assault and an xtrs, suggestions?
Personally I'd go the the Assault. A more modern design and better finishing.
I'm quite a small lad at 5ft 8, would this bike be a suitable ride hight for me ?
+Grant Mckenzie the seat height on the Assault isn't too high so can easily be managed. I'm just over 5'8" and have no problem with this bike at all.
+Michael Peel that is an excellent suggestion !
Considering buying this bike, would you say this is suitable for reasonably long daily commuting journeys on dual carriageways and 40limits etc.?
+Alex Buckingham Goodsell
The Assault is an excellent commuter, its very comfortable and easy to ride so it should be fine.
+Lexmoto UK cheers
+Alex Buckingham Goodsell
No problem
+Michael Peel only like a 30 mile round trip but if the thing does 50 miles comfortably im happy
+Michael Peel It's not that I was worried about, its the fact its literalĺy 2 mins at 40 and then the rest at 60+ so didn't know if it liked cruising..
I'm trying to decide between the lexmoto adrenaline or this one
Both are great bikes. If value is more important go for the Assault. If performance is more important go for the Adrenaline :)
thanks lexmoto also I have one more question how much petrol dose the petrol tank hold and how meany miles per gallon can the bike do on average
And the. Best one mpg and IV been told the adrenaline can do 120miles on a tank of fuel
really like this bike, and to buy it new, get it on the road and get it insured is cheaper than just the insurance for my car
I found the same. It's mad how much they charge for insurance.
£1500 insurance for an 02 plate suzuki Ignis, or a brand new bike, no brainer
Exactly :)
How is Lexmoto going to cope with the new A4 compliance regs come January 2017?
We are prepared for the Euro 4 regulations and will be unveiling the 2017 line up soon. Some existing models will sadly fall and won't be following us into the new year but others have been confirmed for 2017 and we will also have new models to release.
Good to hear thanks for the swift reply.
Whats this about A4 compliance?
As of January 2017 all bikes 125cc and over will have to meet new rules regarding emissions and brakes in the whole of Europe . It is called the A4 COMPLIANCE REGS , as a result a lot of old models such as Suzuki's Inazuma will be discontinued because of emission issues .But rest assured new models will take their place.
The introduction of the Euro 4 Regulations will have a considerable impact on the learner market.
This go very well with a kymco pulsar engine in them (smaller engine with more power) 😉. But I will say the original is great too
is it reliable, im looking at buying one?
Yes and we are waiting for news of a newer Euro5 version.
Do spare parts exist
I am from Egypt and I have a motorcycle like him
Hi, spare parts can be found on www.chinesemotorcyclepartsonline.co.uk/ and can be shipped worldwide.
i like how you fail to say how 1st gear is really short and how it does do 60mph but at 8000rpm
+i just cant not one bit
Glad you liked that ! ; )
i never use 1st gear for setting off it seem pointless to me and the top speed is good for a 125 but its the fact that it only does 60mph at 8000rpm which isn't good for the bike , plus you use more fuel at higher revs
I own one on these 2nd best bike I owned
Glad to hear we feature highly, may we ask what is taking your top spot ?
Lexmoto UK the hmc classic and only by a little difference as I like bikes with torque
The HMC is very much like our Valiant. Nice bike.
Why there is no user manual when you buy a lexmoto?
You can get your user manual by creating an account at mylexmoto.co.uk and adding your bike to the account. It will then give access to downloads like your user manual etc. Less hard copies less trees being cut down =)
@@lexmotomotorcycles i shall try it now thank you!
@@Shaloom23 did you manage to get what you needed?
Yes perfect thank you!
An excellent choice for the a first bike. The Assault is great to ride!
Lexmoto UK Yeah it looks great too. When I did my CBT I was slightly put off by the thin tires. Assault looks like it'd have better grip over those any day.
The tyres on the Assault do get a lot of attention. They look great.
i am 13 and gonna buy this
You'll have to wait until you're 17 to be on the road with this one buddy :)
aggh i can only have one why do you make so many desirable bikes i want them all
+Michael Peel Yes there are lots of variations on bike but when you sit on them you'll be able to determine the best fit.
It seems fine this morning :)
Glad to hear : ) If you do have any problems just let your dealer know.
don't listen to people about Chinese bikes they have come a long way there very well made ps enjoy what ever you ride
+Paul Robinson Absolutely
I got this bike last yr and ive been on it like twice cos i fell off lool... how do i not be a pussy and actually get on it
Hi KK, sorry to hear that you're anxious about getting back onto two wheels. Have you thought about taking it somewhere quiet and practising without the pressure of traffic, baby steps may be the best approach?
but why keep putting shitty tyres on the bikes most people end up selling them because they don't feel safe as the tyres don't give confidence
+stefan brown
We are always working to improve the quality of the range. The tyres fitted to the bikes are standard and, admittedly, you can get better but this would increase the overall cost of the bikes. You can always upgrade the tyres easily enough.
You focus on the motors but your gearbox suck
Hi We are always looking to improve our models and the engines supplied by the various factories we use.
