You carried us through the late '70s and into the 80s. Women's circles + healing and eventually understanding how we had been muted as young girls and how to find our truth and get our voices back. You were our voice, Ferron, and our inspiration in those groups.
I remember hearing her for the first time on KLCC in Eugene, Oregon. I was mesmerized and have never been less than that by you, Ferron. Astounding poetess and singer. You always have just amazed me. Good to learn you are a fellow Canadian. Didn't know that, but helps me love you even more.
I first saw Ferron in 1981, or 1984. I was there both years, but it was a long time ago. She was so shy she didn’t talk at all. Just sang. Still remember it, all these decades later.
How many of us recognized her the first time they heard her? I could just faintly hear her on the radio in the other room on KPFA Berkeley and knew right away. HUGE impact
At a benefit show with several other performers at a small hall in Vancouver. An obnoxious punk band played before her and i set to leave with my ears ringing. But then i thought i'd give her (she was then unknown to me) a listen. She started her set with Misty Mountain and i was hooked. That was about 1979.
Stay the course. This film is developing and staying close to Ferron. Drawing and thinking and staying close to to Ferron. I like it. Its hard to make a movie. Hard to make one present and fresh. You are doing your work. Keep it up. Lori Hiirs
Prophet for our ever ending at the brink futuristic memories of this holocaust as our memory allows its imagination to match our awareness of our experientially based consciousness to move two steps up one step with a side glance shuffle encouraging dance to hold on to the rythm of our living world with funeral processions rebooking baptisms, weddings and things.

just discevered her, so great to hear something new (for me) when we have been starved of good music for a long time.

My half-sister sang with her, along with Tori Amos. Pure genius.
💛💛💛
Is this a thing that actually happened? The link above doesn't work. Okay, I'm off to search....
Did this ever come to be?
Where can I watch this?
Ferron, CFRO?

UGH! Why is every man a shitty wannabe poet? This is her art not yours. know your place.
@@leerylifeform you have a valid point but please don't resort to generalizations. Lumping people into a group sounds an awful lot like racism.
I love Ferron. Kind of an unwatchable film due to the editing, though.
CFRO
Too much in terms of visuals. I need to know though whether I could interact with you despite all this horse sheet.
Never mind Sneak Peek or Bitch, lesser mortals whose egos taught they had something to say .
