When I first moved to Florence I met a small group of people from Bolzano that were visiting Florence for the weekend. They were very nice! It is nice to see some of the area that they were from. Grazie mille, Paul in Firenze

i mean, bolzano has a majority of italians, but the region south tyrol is mainly of german people. and they talk german dialect.there are not many ladins in bolzano, because they are mainly in the mountains. but since it is a language similar to italian and german, many people could potentially understand it. but most people living in bolzano never heard anyone speaking in ladin.

Oh Bolzano is gorgeous! I really enjoyed climbing the hill to the medieval Castello. It was last July and it was hot hot hot climbing in the sun but there are good signs to arrive from the center to the Castello. Also I really thought the cloisters at the monasteries were incredible with medieval frescoes.
    Highly recommend Bolzano. Lovely!!

Well, from Milan you could reach Como lake on similar bike lanes that run along the river, with gradual awesome views.

Hello from Canada! I love your videos. I enjoyed a taste of Italy on a Tuscany cycle tour in June this year. I have fallen absolutely in love with the country and can't wait to go back repeatedly (annually); but it would get very pricey, especially with the Canadian dollar. Your videos are so inspirational and now Bolzano is added to my list of places to see!!

I am going to Bolzano in one month! That Loacker cafe looks amazing! I am going to also see the Dolomite mountains there as well.

wurstel is not really the most tipical food!! you can eat canederli, or some kind of tortellini made with south tyrolean cheese!!

Oddio, il Gotico italiano è uno stile abbastanza famoso e presente in Italia (però è vero che la cattedrale di Bolzano è differente), vabbè dai, non è importante, buone vacanze.

it's so weird to see my city on youtube lol bolzano is a great place to live, still many young people cant see the beauty of the city and are more attracted to sterile big cities.

Bolzano once WAS Austrian territory, that’s why Würstel are that common there! And even the architecture completely is NOT Italian rather than Austrian!☝🏻😉

But now SudTirol is ITALIAN TERRITORY, and 62% are german-speaking, 24% Italian-speaking, 4% Ladin-speaking (the Ladins, a romance language speaking group, are the TRUE inhabitants of SudTirol, that the germans tried to assimilate and to eradicate their latin culture) and over 10% of foreign immigrants, who supposedly speak Italian evey day. And the region lives mainly of TOURISM, thanks to Italian tourists in great part, so learn before writing.

only in Bolzano / Bozen 73% are Italian speaking and the rest german speaking. In the rest of the province of Sudtirol / Alto Adige the german speaking are 62%

The Alps, for the most, are in Italy. Way more than any other alpine country. What makes you think Italy has no alpine architecture? The style of course resembles the Austro-Hungarian area, but I’ve been in Wien and I can tell you, the houses were different! In Italy there are not one, not two, but plenty of styles and cultures. Btw Austro-Hungarian heritage is not only on mountain’s side, with features also different from what you find in the modern Austria.
In Austria they speak German language but they’re not going to tell you they are Germans!

It's such an injustice that Bolzano was taken from Austria for their part in WW1 but then Italy kept it after their part in WW2.
