I am now listening to all kinds of metal for 35 years, but since the late 2000s it does not happen very often that I find an album with goes into one-repeat for weeks. That was different in the 80s, 90s and early 2000s. This album, however, is one of those really excelling. Just discovered them by chance a few months back, and especially this album is a new peak in the genre (for me).
The Morphing clouds stuff was good and it was another style : extreme doom. I guess it is up to Astaroth Merc to do what he wants and please the RT community. Long life to all RAVENS out there 😎😱
This is genuinely one the best albums I've ever listened to. It was a random video in my suggestions, and I did not expect I'd be enjoying this so much. Every aspect of every instrument, vocal and sound synergizes just frickin perfectly. The music really matches the album art and song titles, too. It feels VERY "Cosmic" and "Mystical". The way this album pulls off being super melodic, epic, and having such a Mystical/Whimsical atmosphere, whilst still being so dang heavy is something that I find is very rare in metal. What I find with most bands within the sub-genres of melodic extreme metal, is that heaviness and technicality often seem to be sort of sacrificed in favor of being Melodic and repetitive, and lacking in any sort of complex rhythm and/or overall song structure, and the vocals always seem to be less gnarly/powerful for some reason. Not here, though! All of the check boxes are marked with a frickin bold tipped Sharpie, baby! The last time I stumbled across an album that hit the sweetspots for me like this one has, was several years ago when I discovered "Forest Stream- The Crown of Winter". I think Raventale- Planetarium II might even top that in terms of being blown away on the first listen. Seriously good stuff.
A+ album, probably in the top 3ish BM releases of the past 5 years for me, with Batushka and Wayfarer and perhaps Mgla. Also impressed that the kickass album art so closely matches the sound.
What a great Album ! , very multifaceted Sound from dark and hard to melodic/symphonic , great Vocals ( good to hear/understand) , awesome for an one man Band !! .... \m/

более атмосферного блэка? ну и раньше блэк дум был шикарен. в этой смеси мало кто работает. да по сути у них все альбомы четкие. прошлый они чисто фунерал дум замутили.

Never heard atmospheric black metal this good. The female voice in the one song is hauntingly beautiful. This album is a masterpiece, from start to finish. Will listen again already in my favorites list.
