The best interview of Maddog I've ever watched.

Absolute legend. This man’s career meant so much to me that my first born sons name is “Maddux”. Such a great podcast.

My son pitches at the juco level and is being looked at by a few D2 schools, which are all great schools, but his drive is the one D1 that’s been looking at him. We tell him to keep following that dream but understand what they are looking for. He’s a high 80’s LHP with a ton of movement but also great location. BUT, that top number is an eye opener for them. Seems to be their main concern. 🤷. So use these schools to continue doing what you love. Make new lifelong friendships and get that education.

Jeff, I studied turf management and UGA and got on with the grounds crew in the ‘07 season. One time you sat by me in the dugout for BP and offered me Red Man. Lol
I was also at the game where Maddux pitched against Smoltz. Maddux was my favorite of the group as a child. We had set up BP and I showered in the back, put on the uni and stood by the plate talking to one of the security guards. I had just told the security guard about how much I like Maddux growing up when he point toward Padres dugout and out loud said, “There he goes right there.” I looked to the left and Greg was walking our way and heard him. With his bat in hand, he walked right up to us. Greg got right beside us on his way to the cage and said, “It’s going to be a 2 1/2 hour game tonight boys.”
I was blown away! The funny thing is Braves (and I think Smoltz too) got the win LOL

Great interview (although I always like to hear pitchers thoughts on their hitting) and a great guy!

I like you Jeff, but it is hard to watch three dudes talk with their legs crossed.
