Kermit, thank you and your team for being the premier conservators of these historical treasures and for your vision to share it with future generations. Looking forward to visiting and immersing myself and my family in the love of aviation ❣️
You,-know,-I could just sit down,-with a beer,-& just look at that fusilage-alone-for hours--it truly is a work of Art,--I have a 50 Buick-Riviera--that gets the same treatment--just-Beautiful---mobile-Art--thanks Kermit,--
Was just watching a video of a massive Italian biplane from pre WW2 days taking flight amazing how amazing these machines were/still are absolutely. Too much complexity in modern aircraft and this was very well understood in the pre World War 2 days of flight and thus engineered accordingly *"very spare"* and imo vastly better engineering product not speaking to actual flight time but *"mind time"* if that makes sense. Amazing youtube work here as always😊😊
I know these projects take time and Mr. Weeks has many of them but it would be nice to see one get done. His A-26 Invader flew but is broken again. Not sure what is wrong with the B-26. Saw a video of him flying it once. Only time will tell.
I need to contact Kermit or someone close to him. My grandfather was an engineer for Boeing for decades and a private pilot like myself. and when he passed my dad and I cleaned his house we found a rolls Royce Merlin engine and bmw 801 radial on stands. They are complete engines. He never mentioned them at all but did document and photograph every thing he had done with them including buying them and rebuilding them. I’ve had them for two years now and don’t have the money to build that type of aircraft I would like to loan them to a display or if someone is building a spitfire or maybe an fw190 I’d love to see the engines go into flying aircraft. The Merlin came out of a p51d that was built in 1944 my grandfather bought it in 1961 and the bmw radial came from a luftwaffe bomber and he bought the engine from a Russian man in 1967.
While I don’t have any interest in having the BMW 801 loaned for display, I would be interested in acquiring it for display and potentially for a future FW 190 project. Contact pzizza@fantasyofflight.com as to what you want to do.

@ awesome!!! I got the email address I will send photos of the engine to it and my contact info as well. I would be willing to let the engine or both go to a place like yours as it is far better than it sitting around for years in my shop. It would be amazing if it were to be used again one day or if people were able to look at it and enjoy it. Would make my grandfather very happy
Projects always take longer than planned, but that was stretching it. Did Boeing's writmongers try to be as obstructive as they have with other restorations?
Have you considered organizing an e-vtol air race of sorts to attract visitors? It's trending and exciting. Just a thought. That might be a good excuse to open up the restaurant for an event.
Any possiblity of seeing the Progress of the P-35 and the S-43? Happy New Year! May you finish most of the airplanes currently in the line for restoration.😊
501-3C Collection. Happy to see them preserved. Sad to see the craftsmanship and knowledge disappearing. If you’re in Florida, go see the fighter museum in the Coco beach area. More displays and an honest museum run by a true American patriot and great guy, Bob. Kermit, you could use a lesson from Bob. And I know you know him. Thanks for the video.
I am not sure what is going on with Kermit these days. He has many projects across the USA and internationally being restored the flying condition but nothing ever seems to fly. He also has the Me 108 and a restored but un assembled Me 109 there at Polk City. I guess there is only time and money for so much.
@@alanholloway1264 When Paul left, the Me 108 project was stopped, as there is nobody left to work on it. The Me 109 is far from finished, there is a lot of work needed to get it airworthy, not the least the wings, the engine and internal stuff.
@sdt8764 Unless Kermit either hires (several) capable mechanics - or outsources the work. For a good shop it could be done in reasonable time. There is not that much airframe (aluminum) work to be done, many other things are done / started. It is a matter of priorities. Kermit has lots of projects (IIRC at least around 20 - 25) in different stages of progress. Maybe too many.
@ Do not ask me. I have no idea. I only replied to a question and gave my personal view how Mr. Weeks might proceed if he wants to get those planes finished in a reasonable timeframe. As there are many variables I could be totally off. Maybe you are correct, who knows?
What an amazing project. Have loved watching the progress videos over the years

Well, that settles it: Kermit loves airplanes. Kidding of course; there is no better ambassador of flight. The example featured is gorgeous.
Think what you are doing if wonderful , keep up the great work !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I was there! and it was great to chat with you, Kermit ! I gave you a thumb drive with air racing photos on it, hope that you enjoyed them.
Please consider for sale a detail photo book of these aircraft and their fabrication.
These are mind blowing!
Simply Amazing!
Amazing work as always!
Excelente notícia, essa do Boing estar quase pronto!

I miss the compass rose restaurant the burgers were great and I think it had good milkshakes too.
Love your Kermit!
Beautiful work. What’s the story on the Messerschmitt Bf108?
Thank you Kermit.....
Old F-4 Shoe🇺🇸
I sure want to get down there and experience it all.
It would be great to see it fly. Especially if Kermit was the pilot.
do not hold your breath
Was this the stand in aircraft for Stearmans in “Thunderbirds,” With Gene Tierney? Manta flew the scenes.
Most people don't have a clue the time involved in something like this.

Kermit. I am Coming to Visit your museum From Scotland. Keep up the great Work !..

I may have missed it but what happens now that the guy is gone?
0:52 -> ‘Give me a few years.’?…
ACT III is just a dream of you and always will be.
…if you ask me.
Doesn't the USAF Museum have authentic replica Kirtsite dies to make those tail skin parts?
Why is it not flying yet? You took delivery a year ago..not that it's a bad thing...just curious...
Things move very slowly at Fantasy of Flight

@sdt8764 Never. He should sell most of the projects off to people who want to see them fly again and concentrate on a few.

Congratulations on being a total dick on Kermits page very rude comment
Is anything going to "fly" again? What about the ME-108 ?

Mr. Weeks, is there any way to get in touch with you? I tried sending an email through the FoF website, but never received a reply. Thanks!
How can I help you?
Kermit, do you have children to carry on your legacy?
im 22 but i need to find a way to become Kermit by 40. i need to have my own air museum and collect historic machines
I think he sold his soul to the devil for this.
