This is GOOD TV. I didn't start watching until late 1999 or so, but no doubt I would have been glued to this episode/storyline. RIP John Ingle, Stuart Damon, Jacklyn Zeman and Anna Lee.
I think it's then grandfather who is the worst. I remember I'd liked him before, years ago, but when it came to baby Michael, he was just too possessive to the point where he was ridiculous! All because the baby was another Quartermaine heir. He was as bad as Carly in many scenes- and just as selfish!
I agree with that cuz of the all of Quartermaine's family were crazy except Lila, Emily, and Monica and maybe Ned the women's & Jason's cousin of the family were ok but it's was the men that were the crazy ones plus Robin cuz she hurt Jason & she wanted Jason to to loose Michael so that she gets Jason back to her self & then that went behind Jason back and lied to him about Michael! They didn't like what Robin said to Jason and it was rude who Michael should be with AJ and the Quartermaines! No way! Jason is the father of Michael and that's that! Michael belongs with Jason and Carly and they are Michael parents!
I adore Reginald pulling Edward back into his seat. And the smirk on Jason's face when he announced the name. 😂 It's great. And Robin talking trash about PPD. At least Carly knew from the moment she had him that something was wrong. It didn't take an almost tragedy for her to get help.
"Reginald" had one helluva career... He's a top-notch director, dated Teri Hatcher AND Eva Longoria and finally settled down and married Piper Perabo! Some butler!
This was so funny. The Quartermaines are animals. They treated Michael like a prized possession. Alan's guilt for cheating on Monica and Jason's mom dying made Jason the golden child. No child should have ever had that much placed upon their shoulders. The best part is when Jason named Michael and Carly returning.
Jason had certainly the right to distance himself from most of his family when he did. But it's good that over time, he and Monica reconnected, he reached a good place with Edward and Alan somewhat, and could have civil conversations with Ned. I would LOOOOOVE for A.J. to end up being a three-time death survivor and pop up just to see what type of relationship he and Jason would have in '24. Highly unlikely Sean Kanan would reprise the role, but I'd take Billy Warlock or even an unknown recast.
I find it ironic that the same people who tried to steal the baby from Jason when they believed him to be Jason’s son, used the DNA as justification to take him from Jason later.
Robin needs to stop with her right and wrong morality crap. Because that's how awful the writing is by portraying Robin to be that way. Because that's what is wrong with Robin's insecurities ever.
Omg lol the quotes are Flying fast & furious " why dont u name him al Capone " I wonder if jason did that name just to f with the q's. He had a big smile on his face when they all freaked. I doubt they knew sonnys real name & Jason purposely said " I've named him after a friend Micheal corinthos jr. " he did not have to explain so jason has a little q in him by trolling them on purpose. I do wish he was named jason jr so when aj got him he would have to call him jason & I'm sure to differentiate uncle from nephew jay or something. Also bc jason really was the most loving & hands on dad Micheal ever had I wish Micheal was jason to honor that first year. Emily " their are plenty of good micheals Micheal Jordan " lmao. Alan to Bobbie " how would u like it if Lucas named his first daughter carly " omg I cant this is the funniest scene ever. Edward to the priest " the parents arent married so put that in ur confessional & smoke it " Wow robin gave it to jason calling him a liar. Robin wasnt wrong about aj 's son is being baptized & named by jason. Its messed up. Jason made a huge mistake telling her though. She seems to judge & talk to him like hes her son not bf. He never should have told her & I bet he knows he screwed up. Then finally carly returns this was some baptism.
Wow to Jason he looked hot while he was mad, angry a lot while he had a right to be liked that robin was there to but I did not like that she called Jason a liar but if you think about it he was
He should have thrown her meddling ass out. He can't throw out people who tried to steal him, thinking Jason was the father and telling him he could come visit him? She just can't stop pushing Jason to be with people who want to do nothing more than for him to change everything about him? Well, I just answered my own question. Robin is just like the Quartermaines. She wants Jason to change to suit her.
Fact.....she was a goodie two shoes.....say what you want about Carly, she was true to herself.....Robin really behaved as if she was Jason's mother and not his girl friend and tried to change him.....Carly was on point about her.
Rather Jason likes it or not the Q’s are his family and it didn’t surprise me they fount Jason at the church. The Q’s are relentless to wanna be apart of something concerning family. I remember laughing when the Q’s didn’t approve of Michael’s name and you could tell Jason like saying the name to piss them off by smiling also I laughed when Jason had that “wtf face when robin called him a liar lol.
I will say that i did not like that robin told the truth to a.j about Michael because it was not her right to tell him at all.ut that's why Jason should not have told robin who was the dad to Michael
I know it was years earlier, but Robin talking trash about Carly and PPD is very hypocritical and it didn't take Carly 5 months of denying and practically killing her kid to finally get help.
Robin was right Jason is a liar here. Jason went into a church and lied. Jason lied about who Michael’s father would and Jason later on admit that Robin was right all along. the Qs are wrong for how they’re acting, but they’re not wrong about how they feel. Because I would not want my son or my grandson or my nephew around a gangster I wouldn’t want them around guns where they need to grow up with bodyguards and all the things that happened to Michael if you look back was directly due to Jason, Sonny and Carly and the choices they made
I don't care if the Quartermaines are "crazy" Jason had no right projecting his own hate of his family onto a defenseless baby that wasn't his, but his BROTHER'S.. and him choosing a name for said baby is NASTY. Carly was a mental case who turned out to be nothing but a mob wife / user of her children and Jason being a brain damaged hit man I think they have little leg to stand on to judge AJ's ability to raise his own child.. lol... If Jason wants a child so bad he can make one himself, difference is we now know he doesn't care about his own only those he can steal. Robin did the right thing this time, I'm glad she wasn't too goo goo gaga for Jason to compromise her own morals.
"Oh God. Justus!"
"Yes let us pray for God's mercy and justice..."
The script, the theatrics, the timing....this is so great!! 🤣

John Ingle so funny miss him
CAM8689 I miss the Qs. They were so funny in this scene lol. They always entertained me lol
I wish the show was still like this, a bit more mob like. This is what made me really like the show in the first place.
I agree with you on that
Yep, all the mob stuff now is a joke.

Is that justification for abandoning him and going to the beach

"This is a church!"
looks even a church the quartermaine's do not show respect
That’s how some rich families are to not have god and Jesus in their lives which is bad.

Whoah!! Never saw that Robin and Jason scene before where she calls him a liar!
Why

No child should have ever had that much placed upon their shoulders. The best part is when Jason named Michael and Carly returning.
I seldom defend Jason, but you make a good point about making Jason the golden child.
Jason had certainly the right to distance himself from most of his family when he did. The look on Lila's face with sad but she knew it was coming
Go Jason...
He was the only one who knew how to play his role over the years and his face experiences were on point always more in bad, mean situations
I find it ironic that the same people who tried to steal the baby from Jason when they believed him to be Jason’s son, used the DNA as justification to take him from Jason later.

She tried to lie to Jason as well during their break up conversation. Denying that she asked Sonny to interfere.
