Shibu (malayali name) was supposed to be a malayali character but the director Basil was impressed with guru somasundaram's performance and his voice modulation that he wanted guru to dub his own voice even if it had a tamil accent. So he made small changes to the script to make him a tamil character who was abandoned by his father at a young age in the village.
In my personal opinion So many peoples are recommending old comedy movies.thats can't enjoy non Malayalis because that's Film & comedy is generation movie. (Like expression, dialogue in wrong pronunciation) thats only enjoy to watch Malayalis.
