this one indeed is pretty void of metal but the debut album had some pretty heavy parts. I guess the genre is thrown around because of the close connection to Alcest, which have been much more metal influenced.

I am Turkish but they are nowhere near big in Turkey. They are not popular anywhere

Some people think distorted guitars/double bass instantly=metal. It''s a strange thing.
