    Agree with you. When I was a student and studied abroad, one of my parents periodically remind me about finding a job and saving to help paying tuition fee. That's a tremendous stress considering the students have to maintain their good standing academic status.

    This is the most sane advice to parents,thank you for sharing it as it is, people really need to know the truth on what really happens on the ground..I left US 17 years ago and I have struggled to settle back home, cause I came back with nothing to show for all the years I was there.. Thank God he gave me another chance and got myself together and decided to enrol back into Nursing school, something I had begun those many years ago..am now on my final year about to complete the course..

    As a parent who wants to send a child for a two year course,how many years tuition fees does he/she suppose to have before doing that?

      The whole 2 years tuition fees and living expenses.

      Or you can give them one year tuition and expenses and they work for part time for the other year

    The volume it loud well. I wish parents understand how living abroad alone is. Like you said you trying to make us become ‘adults’ when we are not yet ready. Trying to make us start dealing with finances yet we all know finances is a huge problem especially in African homes as we are never taught about finances and how to manage it .

    Parents cause their children undue stress because they expect their children to pass well and still provide for themselves. This is very difficult and selfish. Geing homesick can actually lead to depression because of the prolonged emotional distress. Good video.
