Join us as we complete our challenging ocean crossing from Indonesia to Australia during cyclone season. With no wind, uncertain fuel reserves, and a broken autopilot, every moment is a test of our endurance and skill.
The journey becomes even more daunting as we’re surrounded by relentless squalls. I’ll explain what a squall is and how to prepare for it while sailing. We navigate from one squall to another, steering manually, dodging rain, and conserving fuel.
On the fifth night, a severe squall hits, bringing a thunderstorm with it. Lightning strikes dangerously close to our boat, leaving us terrified. What if it hits the mast?
Experience the highs and lows of this intense passage as we face these challenges head-on, pushing our limits and relying on each other to make it through.

Fear and fatigue are a bad combo. This video should be shown to wannabe sailors who think the lifestyle is all sunsets and sundowners. Good (and realistic) story telling.

When I talk about which of my tools I'm planning to bring on my boat my welder is always top on the list. My friends always ask what I'm going to weld on a fiberglass sailboat and I always answer I don't know but I'm sure there'll be something. It's one of those tools that finds uses you never expected.
To be fair, any tool you bring on a boat you'll find a use for it, for sure!

Pfffft heureusement que je connaissais la suite parce que c’est effrayant et stressant. Tu es bien courageuse Cécile moi j’aurais hurlé pour réveiller Yann. Lorsque j’étais avec vous en Indonésie j’avais peur chaque fois qu’il y avait un orage. Voir ces éclairs tout près c’était juste effrayant pour moi, alors la, seuls au milieu de l’océan, c’est pire avec la fatigue en plus. Repos bien mérite ensuite. Oufffff.
ouais c'est sur que t'aurais pas été bien! D'habitude les orages on aime pas, mais avec la fatigue et en étant très loin des terres c'est vraiment pas facile à gérer!
