    Then what would be differences between multi method and single method? They sounded the same from this video

    • @DrMuhammadIlyasKhanReflections
      @DrMuhammadIlyasKhanReflections  ปีที่แล้ว

      In single method generally one type of data is collected using one data collection technique/tool, while in multimethods more than type of data collection techniques/tools are used within the same paradigm.

    Respected Sir, can i use descriptive statistics in terms of frequency analysis and inferencial (kruskal Wallis test) for people's view of a phenomena for meets different objectives ?? Will it be multi method?.i only have nominal and ordinal data for it ..

    • @DrMuhammadIlyasKhanReflections
      @DrMuhammadIlyasKhanReflections  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Tania, use of a variety of statistics is generally in response to our research objectives. So yes, you can use both descriptive and inferential statistics as per the requirements of your objectives. However, if you collected data from the same sample through one type of data collection tool e.g. questionnaire, you might not call it Multi-Methods research.

      Thank you so much sir for your kind attention..if i do so , what kind of method it will be to mention in my thesis ?or i should add multi data collection tool like questionnaire plus interview method..thank you sir

    • @DrMuhammadIlyasKhanReflections
      @DrMuhammadIlyasKhanReflections  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Mona-fn7rt If you use both questionnaires and interviews, you can call that mixed-methods research. However, if you just use questionnaire for large scale data collection, then you can call it descriptive survey research.

    Please would you provide a paper which mixed method is used?
    Please provide a link

      Many thanks. If you just search in google for 'Sample mixed methods research paper' you'll find quite a few papers in PDF form.

    Sir, I have 5 objectives. For 2 objectives, I am using quantitative analysis. For 3 objectives, I am using qualitative analysis.
    Is that multi-method or a mixed method?

    • @DrMuhammadIlyasKhanReflections
      @DrMuhammadIlyasKhanReflections  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That's mixed methods because you are collecting and analyzing data using tools associated with both quantitative and qualitative research.
