Rest In Peace, Lemmy. Legend on bass guitar and in metal. I’m inspired to play heavy like him on bass. I plan to at least make a band in the near future. Long live Motörhead. ✊🏻🎸🥁🎤
I wanted to get up and start slam dancing every time this song was played at some dumpy bar back in 1981. Amazing wall of sound from Lemmy and the boys. I love his straight up honesty.
AoS is the song most people probably think of when they think of Motörhead - I think Overkill is my favorite when all is said and done - but AoS is such a blistering song.
I'd been a fan of Motorhead for a long time when I finally got a chance to see them live in 2009 opening for Megadeth. When Ace of Spades started, the arena went nuts. I was front row centre and Lemmy tossed me the pick he'd used. It's one of my prized possessions
This interview is just too funny when the host of the program are translating to swedish, like the subtitle wasn´t yet invented and the swedes didn´t understand english at all back then. C´mon... But those were the days in Svedala with only 2 channels on the telly to watch. Epic section of Måndagsbörsen tho!
Haha true, imagine the reaction with some of the audience who just saw for the first time, some of them must've been instant Motörhead fans right at that fucking moment!
Well most artists are not all about themselves and even their own genre they take inspiration from all sorts of stuff. I mean yeah Motörhead was metal for sure but they certainly had a bit of rockabilly to them, hence the term Psychobilly. In fact I'd go as far as to say that before Reverend Horton Heat and Ministry came along that he certainly wrote the book on Psychobilly. And this is coming from a fella that generally tend to like most genres of music to one extent or another various artists. Especially a lot of the Prime Country and grunge Rock a lot more than even so-called nu-metal

Lol 2:29 Lemmy after being asked if the audience is what he’d expect usually when performing,” No, these people are too quiet.”

WTF WHY ONLY 2 LIKES?!
It has 963 likes now 7 years later.
is it me or it seems they just put the track from the album instead of band singing live?
Эрик Коляда you're right
often on tv the bands are not given the option to play live.
