This has nothing to do with the subject matter, but as I sit here listening to you, I realized that one of the things I really love about you is that your speech is so well-paced. You don't cut out all your breaths and pauses like it's such a trend to do in videos nowadays. I could write a whole novel about what I think of that trend, but suffice to say that I just really enjoy the way you do things!
(And also I adore your cheeky humor!)

She certainly was remarkable and threw herself into whatever cause she believed in whole heartedly, but in saying that, I do feel like she perhaps struggled with attachment issues or something similar. She seemed to be highly susceptible to being influenced by those she looked up to, going from almost fanaticism on one end of the spectrum to the other. Almost like she was unsure of what SHE believed and felt in her heart? My emoji for this video is definitely 🤷‍♀️🤔

The portion about Brandlaw's trouble being "sworn in" makes me think about the ritual of "swearing in" in general. its such a strange, almost religious ceremony in an otherwise civil context (more so here in the states than over there in the uk). Here in the us, it's customary to swear in on a bible, but there have been cases of muslim statespeople swearing in on a koran, others swearing in on a book of law, and even one case of someone swearing in on a captain America shield!

What an interesting video (as always). I was expecting Annie's story to be that of a poor little match girl, totally being exploited by big business. Instead, I found the story of her life to be even more powerful as she "marched to the beat of a different drummer" and took on the cause of others less fortunate than she. Bravo to sharing it with us!

A fascinating topic about which I knew virtually nothing. It does seem to me that she was relatively easily swayed by charismatic speakers, but I'm certainly glad that she was in a position to publicise the Match Girls appalling working conditions, and bring about some real change for the better for them.🤔🤔👍

I had never heard of Annie... to me, her role in the Match Womens' Strike and other causes reflects her overall ability to shine a brighter spotlight on these topics, in a way that drew other people's attention to them and helped "move the needle" in areas where she saw injustices. She must have been an excellent writer and orator, to have such influence. 🧑‍🍼🔥🏭🛕 Thank you for yet another fascinating video, Dr. Kat! 💖

Dr. Kat, this question is not related to this video, but perhaps rather, the previous three. Can you please explain, or elaborate in a dedicated video, just how Thomas Wyatt Sr. survived multiple imprisonments in the Tower, and especially just how he escaped the axeman’s block, in the Anne Boleyn Affair. With heads being lopped off seemingly so willy-nilly throughout Henry’s reign, it just appears so counterintuitive to me that he was spared. Especially since Henry had long known about Wyatt’s early designs on Anne. I would very much like to know.
