excellent !!! hows the road condition in Myanmar ?
The roads were pretty good. Most of the highways are paved and you can maintain a 100kmph speed. The India-Myanmar Friendship Highway was still under construction but motorable without any issues

1. Documents required to go to Myanmar

4. Any stops or stay in between because planning to go directly to Thailand.

The current political situation in Myanmar is not suitable for road trips.
1. The agency in Myanmar will help you with all the documentation and the escort car
4. The agency will create the itinerary with the stops and hotels. It takes 4 days to drive across Myanmar before entering Thailand
5. On arrival visa is only for airport entries. You need to procure visa in advance for land entry through Thai consulate

Let's just say, MMT would have arranged 4 packages on a 5N6D basis for each one of us, for the cost of one road trip. But the experience is worth a lot more.

Nagaland needs a permit if you are staying overnight in Kohima. None of the other states we crossed has that requirement.

Unfortunately, Elora Hotel was burnt down into ashes by the Kuki Militants recently during this crisis in Manipur 😢😢
