because the barrel would blow apart like a 3d printed gun, the barrel and firing system alone are 4,000kg; the turret is extra, then there's the vehicle.

It has taken 20 years to from Zuzana 2000 to Zuzana 2). I suppose it will take years to get the DITA design proven.

The modern militaries need such fast wheeled vehicles like this DITA - Even Russians with their "Russian terrain" as you said, use a whole array of wheeled vehicles. And even Russia wants such artillery - look up 2S43 Malva.
