I’m just starting up business. But you are doing us a great deal of justice by letting us know your mistakes. Granted this is how we learn. Thank you so much 💯🙏🏽
Kyle, I like your content and how you keep it real. This business is grown man stuff, it’s a hustle every day. I seen you while I was doing business in Clayton NC. Keep the content coming my man.
Been studying your videos and as much info on the soft wash industry. But what I learned from this one was the term “after action review”. I looked it up and I am def going to implement it. Love the vids I am a rookie just getting into the bizz.
Assassin for the win!! Thank you for sharing your knowledge, all those rookie mistakes i have done them myself at least once. The Medusa is one of my favorites rigs!
I'm in Tega Cay SC and know the July weather. Own a lawn service and added house washing this year. Your vids are awesome and learn a lot from you. Thanks for the help!
I have just recently started watching. I have 48 years in the industry. I have learned alot just in the few videos I have watched. You can teach a old dog new lessons. Lol
Hey man, I'm new to the business which I started in August of last year and I'm really enjoying your channel. It's super beneficial! Thank you so much!!!
I just soft washed my first shed today and it almost looks worse than it did before. 12v soft washer. (Not a fan) 6 gallons of water, 6 gallons of chlorine 8 ounces of southern drawl. Sprayed it on the panels. I think I left it on longer than I should’ve and when I went to hose it off with water it was already super streaky.
I knew i was drawn to you for some reason, and you mentioning your beliefs tied everything together 🙏🏻 God bless your efforts 🙌🏻 your videos really help 👍🏻
Hey boss, I am a local washer in your area and have been following your channel for a while. I appreciate the info you give. It’s funny because the only reason I am reaching out to you is about the way you grilled that corn lol. Get you some fresh corn in the husk, soak it in water for about 10 minutes or so… so it doesn’t burn as fast and then toss it on the grill… it’s a game changer man. Keep on Keepin on
burnt up my first outlet this season. it was painted over same color as siding, didnt see it till i sprayed it. got the customer to kill power, put my blower on it for a few mins, ran to lowes for a new outlet & plate, replaced an outlet for the first time in my life. all good, got paid. double check outlets, and i now have a fire extinguisher on the truck! lol
Awesome content! When you say cooldown the house do you mean rinsing before spraying product? Also would love to hear a thorough list of things to have for jobs in order from most important to least important, that would be such a beautifiul video for all us starters🥹
Love your style from the videos, info and bbq 😍 I’m in bay area Cali, just trying to make some extra cash on the side this summer from pressure washing. I’m a little intimidated cause it’s not a “legitimate” business with no license or insurance, I just wanna do simple jobs to make some extra money, and so I need to be aware of all the things that can go wrong and bite me later. Bbq lookin great btw 😊thanks
Great information! The pre-trip checklist is a great idea. I ran out of gas my first two jobs without a gas can on the trailer and 30 minutes worth of work left to do. Needless to say, it's a permanent fixture on the trailer now! Live and learn.
Doing my research now on starting my own, with my brother. We are in CA, and I know with the drought, waste water and water usage is a big issue. Still trying to navigate all the requirements for this business here in CA. Thanks for the knowledge
Put a 3/8 to 1/4 quick connect adapter in the glove box with a extra jrod (old one) for the oh crap where’s the gun moments. I have been known to forget crap. Have a backup whenever possible.
Treat the work truck like a fire truck. When a fire truck shows up on a scene, you will (or shouldn't) never see the firefighters running around looking for a particular tool. There is a spot for EVERYTHING, make sure that all items are in their place. Too many times have we shown up without an important piece of equipment. Damn son, Let's EAT!
Thanks for sharing this! I thought it was funny that you’re two big mistakes were with people you already knew. Wonder if it was a comfort thing? I’m in the real estate game and I swear anytime I do a friend/families deal, those are the ones to cause me problems! I felt that bro 😂😂
I am a journeyman electrician looking into starting a pressure washing business give it a shot! I was watching your videos and seen that you ran into a problem like that with the outlet I think that was my calling to just do it what is some good advice to someone wanting to get in it!? I got family who need pressure washing done so I feel confident about it? On starting on jobs just a weekend thing with my side electrical work
Which would be better as far as getting more distance a 1/2 , 5/8 or 3/4 inch flexzilla hose for soft washing with either a 5.5 gpm 60 psi or a 7 gpm 85 psi pump
So the first rookie mistake, what exactly happened, if i may ask? Is it using to high of a percentage on wood? If you could elaborate that would be awesome.
One of my recent mistakes was when i was trying to get my last job done for the winter. I had the wrong values on when i was flushing out the antifreeze from my pump, didn't realize that some got into my fresh water tank. That was empty at the time filled up with water and got to the job site got everything stretched out was on the farthest point away from the truck was letting what i thought was fresh water run before i began applying soap water keep forming. That's when i released i had antifreeze in my fresh water tank. By that time with the limited day light i didn't have time to drain my tanks and flush them out and return to finish the job before dark. Rookie mistake!
I grew up outside of Calabash, live 20min from there now. Brother I need help, I got a 4gpm pump on a Honda gx290 and my pump body runs hot, brass head is cool, diverting into my buffer tank. Unloader checks out, do you think my motor is to small. Any help will be much appreciated.
