I wonder this too! They could use Vincent's experience and Dinwiddie's size on Murray.
But I guess the early foul trouble on both of them forced Ham to move back to DLo, altho he shouldve subbed in Vincent once DLo starts shooting cold.

I definitely thought lakers were gonna dominate this game first 18-20mins of the game in until denver made a run and Ham never adjust 😂. In my opinion AR-RUI-DLO underperformed on this game, actually everybody not named LBJ and AD underperformed on this game 😅.
It does not help the fact that Ham kept playing DLo till the end despite his cold shooting streak, he should have subbed either Vincent or Dinwiddie back in the 3rd Q. They could have at least put a fight.
TP did decent for bench - he scored all 11 bench pts
not trying to scapegoat dlo but why does he have 20 shots? ar only got 9 while rui only got 4? after watching this game i actually believe the lakers can beat the nuggets pretty easily as long as they play defense and rebound.
I knew this game was over when Darvin Ham insist on playing DLo all the way despite his cold shooting streak.
He could have at least subbed him out by the half of 3rd Qtr for a much more taller guard like Dinwiddie, or Gabe Vincent, to guard and make things difficult for Murray.
They should not focus too much on Jokic as there is no way stopping him, they should focus more on Murray and MPJ. Tire them out or make things difficult for them.
@@itsprobablycipher i have faith in dlo and believe he’ll have a better game tomorrow however rebounding must be a focus. there’s too many instances where jokic or gordon grab an oreb and kick it out for an easy three throughout all these losses to the nuggets. and i understand blitzing murray, but blitzing jokic when mpj and kcp on fire just makes me wonder what these guys are doing sometimes 😭

Hopefully Woods plays tomorrow, he could be the difference maker or at least make things difficult for the Nuggets.

@@-ySaint DLo played great and I can't deny that, as for what happened in this game. I have no words, this is their chance and they fumbled it.
That buzzer beater shot by Murray is a nail to the Lakers heart, it will haunt them mentally the entire series.

We gonna need AD and Lebron to average 80 points. The role players are just not playing their role. Thats the formula right there AD match Joker and Lebron matched Murray, ROLE PLAYERS
they really just need to stop these random runs. that late second quarter run and third quarter run is what sealed this game. the rebounding is also what’s on denver’s side in these games which is difficult to deal with when denver is one of the only teams in the league that has the size the lakers has. i still have faith they win game 2 but the defense is what’s lost the lakers each of these games
If dlo makes half of the 3s he attempted we tied or up by 1-2 points 😑

Refs need to step it up. Lakers only had 3x as many FT than Nuggets - 19 for Lakers vs. 6 for Nuggets. That number needs to be more like 27 to 30 for Lakers vs. 3 to 4 for Nuggets or this series is going to short.

Not as good as last season! Finish strong end of season, but it was so poor first game of playoffs. Poor shooting, poor rotation

They will have a much better chance to win if they minimize dlo minutes at nuggets away games (OR as a bench sub OR dont play him at all). Only play him as a starter for full minutes at home games, but even at lakers arena there's no belief he's going to produce vs nuggets. IMO and backed by his poor scoring performance, he cost them a sweep last season playoffs and game 1 this season too. He cannot defend anyone and if he's shooting like that (which is always in denver away games) then prince is just way better to put in for his minutes, dlo played 41mins for 13 points and 3 assists in this g1, prince is a far better defender and with dlo shooting like that prince is just as good for offence. He should not be the 3rd option for this denver series, rui/reeves/spencer should be 3rd and 4th, he should be 5th or 6th. They will lose if they don't do this, unless dlo gets hot/lucky in these denver games, but are they really going to throw the season away on whether he gets hot/lucky?? Its clear he's not reliable for scoring come playoff games. At this point even giving spencer din/jaxson hayes/max chiristie his minutes would be better. Also Ima leave d ham alone, but IDK why they kept him, he should be realising this as a professionally paid coach. IF THEY gave those 10 extra misses dlo took to hachimaura and austin(which they should have), lakers actually couldve won g1.

Same old story from last year playoff, this year regular season, and will be the same on this year's playoff. They'll battle it out from the 1st until the 3rd quarter, Lebron and AD will get exhausted, others fail to contribute, coach doesn't know what he's doing, Lebron walks out, Mike Malone trolls the Lakers, ESPN breaking news "Lebron is considering leaving the Lakers"😂. Oh and AD will play center again and get embarassed by other bigs like Jokic, Embiid, Kat, of Sabonis😂.
